About a month ago Oprah suggested we choose a person & for each day in one month write down why you love that person. I thought it was a great thing to share with everyone here.
My H & I agreed to do it. I just gave him mine. H never did his after all. Anyway I left him alone to read it, returned 10 minutes later to find him fast asleep half-way through. I felt good about writing it at the time. I feel lousy about the way it was received. It's so difficult not to LB back when you're hurting.

Is your husband ill?
There is a type of sleep disorder..... the person simply falls asleep all the time at inappropriate times. Does he have sleep apnea at night?
Maybe he's not a schmuck.... maybe he's ill?
Just a thought. Hi Searching,
I can relate to you in a way. I tried to do something similar recently, and said the following to my H,
"Fill in the blank. I like it when you...."
His response, "Don't play word games with me."
Do you think our H's might be related???

no sleeping disorder - schmuck comes closer
Actually after he didn't bother to look at it for 24 hours I took it back & threw it in the garbage. He thought I was trying to say he no longer deserved it. I said no, just that he doesn't care for it. Eventually I dug it up from the garbage & gave it to him. He thanked me for it & was surprised that even on days that I was angry at him, that I still managed to find a reason why I love him.
There is truth to this whole LBing theory.
Sidney - sometimes they think we're putting pressure on them when we do these things, read relationship books, run to MB every time. It's difficult to know whether what we're doing is positive or negative. What we may think is good, they're not ready for & so view it in a negative way.
