Hey [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com],
Scientifically, the REAL Millenium starts from 2001. Jan 2000 was really the end of 1999. Apparently 2000 was hyped up by tourism and countries scrambling to be the first to usher in the New Century and WE GOT A FALSE START as a result [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
With so much horrendous happenings just past, I am now very determined to celebrate and claim 2001 as the actual Millenium Celebrations. Anyone feel and know the same or different?
God bless us in The New Millenium
weep

Yes 2001 will be the new millenium.
I don't think it was so much a profit thing as much as it got wrapped up in the Y2K bug as well as it being very exciting to reach 2000, more so than to reach 2001. It just seems bigger.
I betcha this won't be as big a deal as last year.
That said, as crappy as this year has turned out for me, I can't say I'm sorry to see the end of it. Dear Blue days,
You are right about the Y2K bug and the numero 2.
But I do feel that some countries do have huge egos but finally deflated when some ATOLL south of New Zealand snatched the title of first nation to greet the new millennium. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Have you planned anything to do to remember the new century and year by?
We will be painting the town red after some weekend anniversary celebrations followed by homely Christmas and carollers. WIll probably sip some wine and go listen to music and hop around.
God bless you
take care
from weep

[This message has been edited by weep (edited December 12, 2000).]
