Stay at the bar and don't drink too much...I'll look for the "balding guy at the end of the bar" after the kids go to sleep in a couple of hours. You're going to tie up AT&T all night.
Larry (aka Rick37 who needs a new alias)

WAT - So what happens when I call your number and Rick (Larry) picks up? I get you guys so confused - and now that you've added REAL names, well, this little drunk girl in Maryland can't keep it straight.
Yes, it's about 7:00 on New Year's Eve. My H and I went into Baltimore to watch the Ravens game, drink beer and have lunch. Being a die-hard Redskin fan - I found it difficult to be in Baltimore this weekend. Don't tell Daniel Snyder, but I actually found myself cheering for those little birds.
Anyway, I would call and we could get together and have one heck of a pity party - at least on my end - but I have to make little weinies for this party we're going to in about an hour.
I don't know, I think I've definitely had enough for the night, but, heck I think too much, and was wondering, well, no its stupid. I guess I should go up and wake my H up for the party.
I guess I'm just at the point, tonight, where I wonder, if a person can really do the right thing after making so many mistakes. I mean, how do you know you're doing the right thing - when all you've ever done is make one mistake after another?
Hey, do they still have the draft house up there in Bethesda? Maybe a private showing of "Fatal Attraction" would shake me up.
Anyway, I don't know why I'm writing tonight - maybe just to prevent myself from doing anything stupid. I hate to see that you're on here tonight - go out, stay home, just have a happy new year, you deserve it. Cya.

Nice to see SKM on here tonight...after a few drinks. It is too bad that we can't edit SKMs post a little so she would be embarrassed when she sees it tomorrow [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]

SKM - I'm not a Redskins fan so why not root for the birds?
Well, I'm gonna edit out my phone number now so it doesn't get out of hand. How 'bout I meet you and H sometime for a few? I don't know about the draft house in Bethesda, but there are plenty of other places to have a few brews and crack some crabs.
Now I want you to read your message on Monday and then translate it for the sober folks.
Don't forget to watch the Hokies at 12:30.
Dave

Hey Dave,
Question for you. I must have missed the post about OM's D hitting your W. Details please.
If my OS ever met OW, I don't know what he do to her, but I have heard the names he wants to call her, & even though I don't allow that language in our home, I didn't say anything.
Too bad you took your phone # off, not that I can ever remember all the numbers to make international phone calls here, there is always something new, where you can get lower rates but then it is for a short time so next time it is not the same. Thank goodness for email.

sing - a little background: our families were very close. OM has three kids, two college age and one D the exact same age, 12, as my surviving son. While my deceased son went through years of fighting his cancer, all the kids became very close. Their family was very instrumental in our struggle. (He died in Aug. 99 at age 8 1/2.) OM's older son really became a second big brother to my sick one and they both worshipped each other although they were 10 years apart. The following spring after my son died, OM's son's high school baseball team went to the state championships and throughout the playoffs, OM's son took out a baseball trophy that belonged to my deceased son and passed it around the team in the locker room so each would touch it. He was their inspiration. They won.
Anyway, after being a second mother to OM's kids, you can imagine their reaction when the A took off and their father (OM) left them for my wife. The rest is history and OM's kids absolutely hate my wife. So, anytime they happen to see her, it's a confrontation. Our houses are in the same block, although my wife and OM live separately a few miles away.
Sorry for the tear jerker so early in the new year. Oh yea, OM was a pallbearer.
Dave

WAT/Rick37 - Larry/Dave - whatever
Oooouish - now I know why I shouldn't drink anymore. I kind of forgot that I came on this site last night until I was doing a read- through of some of the posts.
I wish I could translate my message, but since I am now among the sober [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] I don't think I can. I guess I was feeling the weight of the world on my shoulders last night. A little self-pity mixed with a lot of beer - not a good combination. Anyway, I bid a very (well it wasn't fond) farewell to the year 2000, and started 2001 with a hangover. Yippee.
Who are the hokies? Is that Va Tech? They won, didn't they? My H and I spent the better part of the day eating junk food and watching the Cotton Bowl (my H is a WILDCAT - rareeeer).
Rick (Larry, Dave) - you sound like my H. Editing my posts. . .shame on you. You sound like my H - always trying to make things up that he thinks I won't remember the next day. But, if I were that bad last night, I don't think I could have even focused on the keyboard.
WAT - I think it will be quite some time before I am ready to slug down any more beer, but I'll let you know when I am.
Anyway, it's a school night, so I'd better go and get ready for bed.

SKM: Since you get a bit confused with myself and WAT, maybe this will clear it up:
- My wife is stubborn.
- WATs wife is denying the affair.
- I am close with the in laws and they love me.
- WATs wife's family knows what is going on but she doesn't know they know.
- I need a kick every so often.
- WAT is an engineer
- My wife got her hair cut the day before New Years eve.
- WATs wife managed to schedule things so she was free for New Years eve to party with OM
There you go. Now, keep this list, make a copy and reverse our names, and that should clear us up once and for all [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
[This message has been edited by Rick37 (edited January 01, 2001).]
[This message has been edited by Rick37 (edited January 01, 2001).]

Rick37 -
Wait, I think I'm confused again. . .
I am stubborn,
I denyed the affair (well, not to my H, but to myself - how scary is that???),
My H is close with the inlaws (my parents),
My family didn't know what was going on, but my H knew that they didn't know what was going on, hmmmm
MY H needs a kick every so often,
My H is not an engineer but THINKS that he is,
I didn't get my hair cut before New Year's Eve (Phew)
and I didn't arrange New Year's Eve so that I could spend time with the OM (Again, another Phew).
Some of the similarities are uncanny. You know how you guys like to analyze things, well, here's the sign you're looking for - when your wives stop doing their hair, wearing makeup, dressing nice, smelling good and they begin to belch in public - well, then, they're all yours [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]. Just joking everyone. . .I had off work today, I forgot about that yesterday - went to bed early for nothing!
