I have been on the MB message board for over two months now and have often wondered why we don't have a chat room at this site. Maybe this question has been asked before and maybe there is a reason for not having it, but I would like to know.<P>There are times when I could use the online support. If it was properly moderated and limited to certain times, what could it hurt?

AH:<P>Chat rooms have been specifically discouraged, due to the ease of affairs starting out in this medium. Even on the MB boards, we have cases of affairs starting between members.<P>To properly moderate such a forum would require a full time person, which MB can't afford. And the transitory nature of "chat" means that the information is "wasted" for the purposes of archiving.
