I understand plan A now! I read a post from (I think Lori-sorry) in the notable posts. It talks about how Plan A is for ME. . . see I was also thinking of it as a way to win him back. But it's about working on the things I want to change about me. Those changes may result in getting him back, they may not, but either way I'm growing & learning about myself & about relationships. It does also still allow me to have hope for us & shows me how I should relate to him during this time . . . or any time for that matter.
I'm sorry, but this is such a relief to me. I've been praying & asking which road I should take (since we're not married-I've got something to say to all of you later about that). I would know that God would want me to work & work if we were married, but was unsure if He was telling me to move on or to still believe in my feelings for him. I can still care, but what He was trying to tell me is that there's much in me that needs fixed & I need to get working. I've been stuck in this spot of feeling sorry for myself (not that I don't still a little) and being afraid and not knowing which way to go. Now I know I don't have to go anywhere, I just need to stay right here & get the broom out & get cleaning in me! Don't get me wrong, I know this is nowhere near the end of the road for my whole situation-but at least it's a beginning & I feel finially like I know what I'm supposed to do.
What I wanted to tell you all earlier about being married, is that I almost feel guilty about even posting here because I know most, if not all, of you are married, and we were only engaged. I don't feel like I can say "OW" or "A", I feel like I'm taking something from all of you and your situations. I guess with me it's just that I know that I still love him very much & he is what I want. Just felt the need to say that. Thanks so much for all the help you've been so far.

Your post is a really nice one, and it shows that you clearly have grasped the concept of Plan A. It really does help YOU. It just takes a light bulb to suddenly come on to realize what it is really about. I'm really happy that you discovered and summarized this so well.
And don't ever think that you shouldn't use the same concepts and terminology as the rest of us here. We are all in the same game, regardless of whether we are married yet or not. He is close to your kids, you love him, and you want to work on the relationship. That is all that matters.
