Please help,
The last few days, she's been decent to me, even kind. A couple of night ago we laughed together. But last night and today, she's been more withdrawn and cold. I'm sad and angry and scared. I don't want to LB when she gets home soon, but I get bring myself up at all. Please help.
------------------
Bill
~~~~
Remember the truth that once was spoken, "To love another person is to see the face of God."
Hi Bill,
Read my post below about my role as a wife.
You don't have to react to how she is. Decide now how you want to be and dont let her mood or withdrawl affect your actions.
Think of what you want to be in your marriage and do it. Good luck.
Lora
I think sometimes when things were going well between my H and me he had to be mean to get me to react. Then he could again justify what he was doing. Look at it as a little contest... you doing your plan a.. dont let her bad mood spoil your behavoir.
Lora
wld,
I know this is going to be tough on you. Just remember that regardless of what she says or does when she comes back, she'll be under the influence of the addiction. You'll need to give it time and lots of Plan A. Keep your cool and just be the best you can be. You don't have to put on an extra cheery face and act phoney. Just no LBs and be your best. You can be honest about how you feel.
We are all here for you, so vent away. Obviously this is a very difficult time for you, anticipating her return. Hang in there.
Hi WLD:
Everyone's right of course. Sometimes the WS's moods have nothing to do with you or they can be a reaction to your Plan A so you need to be prepared to weather those bad moods and not LB.
Believe me when I tell you that the LB does nothing to make you feel any better in the long run. It is hard not to react I know but like Lora says sometimes their bad mood can actually be a reaction to having a good time with you...a snap back reaction to maintain the equilibrium. Don't undo the good you've done. You can keep your cool.
Angels and Prayers ~ Faye
