Today is my burthday. Actually had a very pleasant day - saw some friends and bought myself a present (fantastic new walking shoes!).
I found that being in Plan B has "delivered" me from all the angst of wondering whether H would cal etc. I have already declined his invitatio to the theatre. However, pleasant surprise. A present was dropped in my mail box. Lovely piece of jewellery; nice card signed "with love"; a message on my mobile phone; and an e-mail telling me to look in the mail box for apresent.
This may not mean anything at all but it is quite nice. I have overcome the temptation to call him - by coming here! - but have sent him an e-mail thanking him for the generous present and his caring toughts.
Actually, now that i write it down I realise this is all a bit of a replay of this time last year so I certainly wont get to hopeful.
Any comments ?
R

R,
Happy Birthday to you. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Try and have a great day.
--------------------------------------
It's OK to accept the present...
...there is no reason to LB by returning it.
...being gracious in accepting it is good.
but...
...the "thank you" e-mail...
...(I hope it was short... maybe just 2 words... "thank you")
Responding in a lengthy letter defeats the purpose of Plan B.
Hang tough.
[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Jim / NSR

Thankyou Sing and NSR for your birthday wishes.
NSR - yes, the e-mail simply said "thankyou for your generous present and caring thoughts"
BUT - he rang last night - and SANG happy birthday on the phone. I laughed (nicely) said thankyou and yes, I had had a nice day/ and ended the conversation courteously.
I just find Plan B so much easier to deal with than hanging around on the periphery of hid life, always hoping.
R
