I had a hard enough time trying to Plan A without having to give up the meds, deal with hormonal hell, the long hours of grazing, and the blissful morning sickness. I'd like to go a few rounds with the nimrod who started that rumor that you get this "wonderful glow" from pregnancy (if morning sickness is the prerequisite for it, I'm NOT interested!!!)
Well, this morning I felt like having Oreo Cookies and Pepsi for breakfast. Don't ask! My H came in and asked "is that a good idea?" I said yes it was a very good idea. He then says, "Well, you're so self-conscious about your weight, and now you do this..."
Wrong time to mess with me, buddy!
I ended up chucking one of the said cookies at his head. My H will be a walking Oreo ad for about the next week. Whatever - I could graze in an Oreo field for the next freakin' eight months, eat fast food every day, and I would STILL weigh about 250 pounds LESS than that Stay-Puft Marshmellow b*tch you were ruttin' with 6 months ago!
He apologized and took me out to lunch today. But still, how do you Plan A when the **littlest** things set you off? My boss told me to move my car to a different parking lot, and I burst into tears.
It's going to be a loooong eight months...

Alexandria,
I just sat here laughing my ... Well let's just say I lost some weight, reading your post. I don't have a single thing useful to tell you but as a guy, I can just see your H's face as the oreo's start flying and your bosses face when he asked you to move your car.
Dear God women are wonderful. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
God Bless,
JL
PS: This too will pass.

A, you might wanna try to curb those urges. Not the ones for Oreos and Pepsi, the ones for letting FLY with said Oreos! What would've happened if you let fly with a Pepsi instead? Whatta mess!!
Seriously, you should talk to your doctor about wild emotional swings, because it is not a good time for you OR your H to deal with that stuff. There has been so much stress ... and this should be a time of joy.
I seem to be the party pooper in all of my posts so far tonight, but I have been here long enough to know that a lot of men freak during their wives' pregnancies ... and I've seen several situations where an affair came about during the pregnancy. Not to be sexist, but sometimes some men have a real hard time dealing with a baby or another baby... It scares them to be responsible for another human being...
Just take care, 'k?
------------------
terri
Courage
Whatever course you decide upon,
there is always someone to tell you
that you are wrong.
There are always difficulties arising
which tempt you to believe that your
critics are right.
To map out a course of action
and follow it to an end
requires courage.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Alexandria-you're way to funny!!
Hang in there, and you won't feel like this all the time, usually the first trimester is the hardest-well that & the last 2 weeks! I remember feeling like screaming "Enough already, will you please get the HE&% out of my stomach!!!!!
Good luck, maybe try to explain to your H how you're feeling because of the pregnancy, maybe it will soften some of the blows a little!
I was laughing like a loon reading this!! And one day you will, too. We now laugh together at my "Pringles Crumbs" episode. At the time I was out of control with hormones, too. Just let him know it's hormomes and you can't really help it. If he thinks the "Oreo Incident" was bad, at least you didn't start crying unconsolably after he was wearing them!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jacklyn

I was laughing,too.
I hesitate to write something more serious, but what the heck. Before I had children, I always looked at pregnant woman as having a disease (and thank goodness it wasn't contagious!). Then, after my first child was born, I usually felt very sentimental about it. I would see a pregnant woman and tears would come to my eyes and I'd think,"Oh wow, she is growing a real live person in there. And soon it will come out and that unique person will be born and they'll have a baby to love, and they will be a family. wow."
Ok, ok, this is way too mushy. After living the the infancy of my second screaming child, when I saw a pregnant woman, I went back to the response of, "Oh man, poor thing. Geez, am I glad I'm not pregnant."
Yesterday I saw a woman who was about 10 months pregnant and tears welled up in my eyes and I thought,"Oh wow, she is growing a real live person in there ....."
Go figure.

Al,
Did you really say that or just think it?! This was waaay too funny! Thank you! I don't thrive on weight jokes but my H's XOW was/is maybe two of me too so I can so relate.
I can also relate to what Clouds said: mush mush. Having lost 4 of my 6 pregnancies, I take babies for granted less than others, but those hormones are hard! I was 8months when my H confessed. He woke up one morning to a shower of apples I'd chopped in anger!
Bless you, your pregnancy, and your marriage recovery!

Oh Alexandria - I know *exactly* what you are talking about. I suspected my H's A, kicked him out of the house (before I knew about MB) and found out I was pregnant 2 weeks later. It's awesome that you can find humour in the situation, thanks for the giggles!
The hormone thing can NOT be understood til you go through it!!
The good news is - I lost 60lbs while pregnant under the care of my totally awesome female OB - who I told everything and cried my eyes out with and gave me lots of hugs.
I found that when I really concentrated on taking my vitamins (I took tons) and focused on eating proteins instead of carbs, my cravings and mood swings were much more manageable.
Though I think you are on to something - Oreos as missiles is probably more therapeutic than eating them!! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif)

Being pregnant is a nine-month long trip into another world.
It lasts forever and takes no time, both.
Your story is hysterical. Just wait till you find out what other culinary odysseys you will embark on. I grew one baby on animal crackers and ice water and the other on pretzles and iced tea. Couldn't open the refrigerator without holding my breath. Such a trip. With first pregnancy I discovered the difference between coke and pepsi. I am a confirmed coke drinker. Couldn't tell the difference before. Such a weird time.
Keep a journal. I wish I had. Never did.
Congratulations. Enjoy the next few months.

I just love the mental picture of your H & Oreo's. A black face with white eyes shinning out & this totally perplexed expersion. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif) : ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif) : ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif) :
My H always thought morning sickness ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/rolleyes.gif) & everything else was in my head, till I threw up in the fridge & then did again trying to clean it out. It was yrs before I could open the dishwasher without gagging. One good thing my H learned early on I don't do throw up well, he always takes care of it, of cours there have been all those times when he has been out of the country,
