i know this sounds rather pathetic, but if anyone has any advice/ help, please reply to my original meassage (I was unfaithful). I have noticed most of the people on this board are betrayed spouses rather than the adulterous one, but I would really appreciate anyone's help on how to show my husband how much I love him and how sorry I am.

I do not have any answers for you but you certainly seem remorseful which is a very good sign. Lets try this and see if this helps at all. Lets reverse the situation and say that your husband came to you and informed you that during the first five years of your relationship he had brief affairs with 9 other women and that he was sorry.
What would it take him to do to make you feel better about yourself and your relationship?
I don't know but maybe by looking at it this way it may give you some ideas. Good luck.

desolate,
First, there are in fact a fair number of Wayward Spouses, WS's, that post here. You will here from them when the work week starts. You might look up SKM's posts. She is very eloquent and has done a tremendous amount of healing and has helped a hugh number of people here.
Most people will need some more information in order to address you question with any detail. Such as how long married, children?, lenght of affair, how it ended, etc.
So read, post, and ask questions. You will find a lot of help.
God Bless
JL
