I know there's quite a few of us that are taking Paxil. I've been taking it since the end of May, 2000, and am now taking 40mg per day. I have been so tired lately, and am wondering if it is a side effect of the meds. It's like I can't wake up in the morning and feel tired all day long.
Anyone else have this happen to them??

Maybe you should talk to your doctor and see if you can get something else. I just started on Zoloft , myself. Hopefully this will help me work. Wish there was a pill to take a way the hurt and make H and OW split up.
This was a side effect of Paxil in my case, but it's been a couple of years and I don't remember what dosage i was on at the time. I started at a relatively low dosage and had very mild side effects. The the medicine man increased the dosage and I really freaked out. My sleep patterns went bonkers and I would act out all my dreams. My nights weren't restful at all. I would literally sleep all weekend and during the work day I was a zombie. I switched to Zoloft after that and I was extremely dizzy during the time that I was weaning off Paxil. Zoloft worked pretty well, and I am currently off the meds. Have been since about August of '98.
Good luck to you. I'd ask to try another medication. There are a whole bunch of them, one of them ought to do the trick.

My daughter, who is bulimic, was once on Paxil. It wiped her out. She wanted to sleep all the time. She also gained weight, which did NOT help with the eating disorder at all! I don't remember what the dosage was, but I would say that your tiredness could definitely be a side effect.
------------------
"Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1 Corinthians 13:7

I take Wellbutrin. The only side effect I can see, and my DR told me about, is sexual. My MD calls it the woman's viagra. Of course for me right now that is a bit alarming because I haven't had a sex life in 21 months thanks to the OW.
But no bad days, fatigue only lasts the time it takes for it to be effective, about three weeks. The other thing is it makes me have the munchies and I eat all the time, but the MD said it should do the opposite--depress the appetite. Oh, well. Can't have it all.
