The moments I have been dreading seem to be happening-First being the fact that H is moving in with OW the next is my H bringing OW to friends houses? How do I handle this? How do our friends handle this? He may start doing this -this next weekend since they are moving in together. My friend (who is also our contact person) said H told her he wanted to stop out this weekend and we are concerned that he will bring OW. He has not mentioned this relationship to anyone but me and his aunt. He has told everyone else that OW is just a friend - including our contact person. (but he has served me with D papers) Other than that he has never talked about OW to anyone. I am just trying to get a grip on this before this blind sides me....Did anyone else have to handle this? How did you make it thru this?
[This message has been edited by Trs (edited February 26, 2001).]

My H took the OW out in public--with some of their co-workers. I didn't have to handle/see it, but I had to consider it and I know what my counselor said...you can't control what he does, you can't control what the OW does, you can't control what "friends" do (and you'll find you'll gain some & lose some & do some discarding on your own).
I think your role is one of dignity, politeness & self-preservation. Never let them see you sweat...or cry.
When I had to go to 2 Xmas parties where the OW was this year, the advice I got here at MB was to be a "diva" or think Princess Di knowing Charles was seeing that dreadful Camilla. Head up, be confident if you have to face the 2 of them...but you don't have to allow her into your house, and talk to your lawyer if you have kids if your states allows you to put a clause into the visitation agreement that no oppposite sex people overnight when the kids are there--legal, or as my lawyer had said, "worth a try" in some states.

------------------
Lor
"Whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, gracious...think about these things."
