He told me he got another email from OW. .something about she wondered if he stopped by her house because there was a newspaper left on her doorstep & it was opened to the page announcing the engagement of our BF's??? What kind of lame-o excuse is that to contact him???? Anyhow, he told me he emailed her back saying that it wasn't him and he didn't know who it was. I kinda wish he would have just ignored her email, but oh well.
You know, I never even asked him to tell me every time she contacted him, I just asked him not to lie to me. I think this is a very good sign-that he's telling me this on his own (maybe he stole my Surviving the Affair book & read it??). He said, I just wanted to let you know. I thanked him & told him how much it meant to me that he's telling me this stuff. And I just said something about she would probably be continuing to email him for a while. He said when he moves he's getting new email addresses, and he said then anything she sends me will just get sent right back to her, right? I said yep!
Just thought I'd let you know about the lastest!!

bitsy
I'm wondering why he has to wait until he moves, just to get a new e-mail addy. I'm sure that he can "block" anything that he gets from her, or he can get a new e-mail addy now.
OW is desperate. I'm sure that she will continue trying to reignite the affair for awhile. It's 2 years later for my H & I (their brief affair wasn't as intense as your H & OW's was) and the OW still tries to finagle her way into our lives.
I'm glad that your H was honest and told you about this recent contact. You did the right thing by thanking him.
It's just a shame that we have to deal with these persistent Loser OW who have no freakin' clue and can't get their own lives!
p.s. If your H truly wants OW out of his life, will he write a letter of "No Contact" to her?
[This message has been edited by Survivor [aka_NoTrust] (edited March 02, 2001).]

WAT & Survivor-
I don't think he's ready for SAA or a no contact letter yet, or at least not ready for me to ask him to read it or write it. I feel like he's been handling it fairly well on his own anyhow. Without too much pressure from me & I think right now, that's important to him. . and also a way I can show him changes in me. I want him to stop contact with her because he wants to, not because I ask him to. Especially since she's contacting him, he's not initiating contact w/her, although he's replying (but I don't think he's replying the way she wants him too!!). Also, I think it's still an ego stroke for him, which he still needs-BUT very soon I hope this will be comming only from me!!
I think that after he gets moved, and settled a little that we will begin to discuss these kinds of things. But I don't want to bring it up now. The things I have been saying to him though is stuff like, "We can make it through anything, we can work things out, no matter what". He likes it.
This is definately progress, and I only see it getting better. I've just got to hold off right now with any demands. It's not the right time yet. I'll know when it is.
And Survivor-I agree, GET a freaking life of your own!! He also told me yesterday that she just got a job (she mentioned this in her email to him-that's why she wasn't home when the "newspaper??" what dropped on her doorstep). She didn't even work??? She does not have custody of her children, what the he*& does this OW do all day? What a pitiful excuse for a human. As much ambition as Jim has, and as much importance as he puts on careers (he's always told me how proud he is of my w/my job, promotions, etc.) I can't believe he would even be interested in someone who doesn't even work at all??!! Just another example of the fog!
Thanks guys-I will most likely be using your ideas, just not yet!
