I asked about this in my last post but I fear that no one will see it because it started along a different track.
We have no kids, the house and cars are i my name in title and financially. Wife has cheated on me long term and I can prove it.
What are the legal issues related to:
1. Seperation/Divorce?
2. Money and future income?
3. Timeframes?
4. House, cars?
What's the best ways to protect myself before I would hand her the news that we are seperating?
K

I would like to make two suggestions Karl.
1) immediately contact an attorney and get correct information.
2) post this on the divorce board and I am sure they will have a lot of information.
I am just guessing but I do not believe that it makes any difference whose name is on the mortage. You are legally married and she is entitled to 50/50 split. I may be wrong so check with your attorney. It is very sad that her spending has caused so much trouble. I would suspect that you will also be responsible for her credit problems also.
Good Luck.
