elo - I went on meds before I knew what Plan A/B was. I would not be here today without them. If you have the symptoms, please see your doc.<P>WAT

If the Harleys actually made such a sweeping statement, I think that it was highly unethical. Antidepressants are designed to treat clinical, not situational, depression - they are not just "feel good" drugs, although many doctors will prescibe them at the drop of a hat. In my opinion, it is just as wrong to take anti-depressants when they are not medically indicated as it is to smoke marijuana or even shoot up on heroin. <P>In addition, all drugs have side effects, sometimes serious, and you never know if you are going to be one of those who suffer them. When my doctor prescribed a bronchial dilator for me when I had pneumonia, he assured me that side effects were generally rare and mild - but it made me so nervous and jumpy that I couldn't sit still, even though I was terribly ill.

elo,<P>I went on Celexa at Steve Harley's suggestion because he said it starts working faster than some others and has fewer side effects. I feel much better since I took his advice and have no side effects I'm aware of. I'm not usually a pill taker and I'm glad they make me feel better. They don't change the reality of what we're going through but they can help us cope.

I'll reearch it.<P>I will be calling S. harley back soon.<P>When I spoke with him a week ago, after hearing my story, he told me to send a Plan A-ish letter; sent it on 3/7.<BR>Also advised me to call MIL and ask her advice on how I should handle the finacial problems affairs has brought on us, including him. Cant' bring myself to call her. So many forum members telling me to trust his advice. What do you think?
