Well we had a bit of trouble getting there. They called fri morning and told me it was cancelled. I panicked and cried. I needed to go because we are just talking in circles and I had heard such wonderful things from others about how it addressed communication problems. So I cancelled the sitters, and called the school to have them put my daughter on the bus, but then at 2:00pm they said it was on.
It was a wonderful weekend. It was alot of work, as many of you told me, but it was well worth it. We got alot out of the tools they taught us to help us communicate better. I know it will help me, and although I'm still in that angry, betrayed, hurt stage, I think that maybe if I go ahead and use what they were explaining, I will be able to get past those "stuck spots".
I was very impressed that my H participated as much as he did. This is a person who began counseling with a therapist with me because he knew it is good for me and that I believe in it but he says he doesn't need to be told what to do or how to think. Yet this weekebnd he participated 110% in every way and it renewed my faith and trust that he really does mean all that he says to me when he says that he loves me and will do all he can to make this up to me.
I really can't get into what they teach you, they ask you not to discuss it( as others who have been will atest to) but I will say that it is worth it. I understand so much more about myself and my H and our situation.
The only part that I had trouble with, and this has nothing to do with the program, was that it was the first time that we have been in a hotel since his affair, and thats where all his interludes took place, (except for one) and the minute I walked in the room, her presence was there. I never expected that to happen. Never even realized the connection until I was there.
But soon as we started the program that faded, and I will say that at the end we were getting our stuff together to check out. All of the sudden I had this urge to throw him on the bed and attack him, just so I could reclaim that from them. I'm really sorry I didn't, but my other post addresses that.
I would recommend this to anyone! No matter what stage you are at. I'm so glad we did it and my H even said that he would go again next year to follow it up. His idea! So to all who are considering it, DO IT! It may have just saved us.

[This message has been edited by Not Giving Up (edited March 14, 2001).]
