What a day! I posted blow by blow of H leaving OW this afternoon. Now, H's sister and H's son (19) are yelling at each other. Sister's H threatened to kill H's son and H's son threatened to kill him. H is staying with his son to calm him down. Sister's D (17) who lives with me is now mad at me because I've been so unavailable to her and her brother (15) during this whole ordeal. They are furious at my H who abandoned them along with me. What do I do now? It's amazing how H's traumatic day just set everyone in his family at each others throats. Has anyone else experienced anything like this in very early recovery?

Terri, Yes a good long laugh...I don't know if you read my posts over the weekend about catching my H in the bathtub with OW, how he jumped out and tried to run away from both of us, and she threw all 270 pounds of herself into the back of his truck wearing only a t-shirt and a towel. The towel fell on the ground and she asked me to pick it up, but I refused. When they both finally got out of the truck, she tried to hug me and got angry when I pushed her away. The weekend before, she and H went to a bar. She got drunk and angry at him for spending so much time with me that week and threatened to leave with a female stripper (she claims to be bisexual). He told her ok but asked how she would get home. She gave in and instead got her tongue pierced next door to the bar. Two days later her tongue was so swollen the post had to be surgically removed. I could go on... This is funny stuff, don't you think? Some people think I'm crazy when I tell them about catching my H and OW in bathtub but it really was a sight!

Wow, sounds like a night at my house. Except mine involved my M-I-L. Her kids (H's siblings) would come over and vent, M-I-L would kick them out and them cry for them to come back and then do it all over again. Pratically the whole time we have been married, there has not been a month that I have not had to deal with a family issue. In most cases it was every week. In August of last year, I finally sat both my mother and father in law down and said, they are the ones who must treat their now grown children & each other with dignity and respect. Also told my MIL to pay her way and not expect others to bail her out financially.
That took a great weight off my shoulders, little did I know that a greater weight was already in the making (H's A's). Three days after speaking to my in laws, the nerve rash that I had over 75% of my body for 15 years vanished from my face, arms, legs, back, shoulders. Only small remanants remain most on my hands.
I imagine pictures of a large woman in a tub, not necessarily a pretty site. To also have to see her make a fool out of herself in public, is hilarious. Makes you go hmmmm, I'm glad I'm not the OW. Now everyone knows what she looks like. That should be enough to kill any A.
Too bad she didn't get hoof in mouth disease. ha ha!!!

Sure makes interesting reading.
Take Care,
L.

orchid, what is that nerve rash? I've gotten it twice since the A started. It's everywhere except my neck, head, hands, and feet. It's almost gone, but still kind of itchy and my skin is all dry and peeling now...

In my case it is hereditary. My grandma and mom had similar cases. It is a nerve rash though and comes with food and stress. It started on my hands, first on the fingers and gradually on both the front and back of my hands. For me hot hot hot water stings soo bad, it takes the pain away. My hands then swell up and small cuts appear. I have been given many treatments. Standard medicine treatments include x-ray treatment, cortisone shots, prednozone pills (effective with side long term side effects), etc. Alternative medicine included, Teas, vitamins like MSM (very helpful), changing to soft water (phosphate based softner), natural soaps, cotton underwear, etc. Refraining from Coffee, Sodas, chocolate, dairy products. I was never good about abstaining from the food stuff. Reducing your stress levels. I never felt stress but my body did.
The rash eventually covered most of my body. My back looked like a bad sunburn that never healed. My breasts were bumps and peeled like a bad sunburn. My face was red all the time and hot to the touch. My skin reeked in pain constantly.
Taking the MSM vitamin (without vitamin C) worked best for me (I took about 3000 - 9000 mg per day - at the beginning it was 9000 mg(6 tablets - 2 with each meal - the Nature Sunshine brand - not sold in stores - is good). Also unloading on my MIL, really helped.
Unfortunately, all this skin pain/nerve rash stuff made it difficult for me. I felt very undesirable and did not believe my H when he told me I was beautiful.
Now, my face is cleared and most of the rash is concentrated on my hands. You may need to see a dermatogolist or a good health food advisor.
Could it be the water? How come this did not happen before?

L.
