My SO is supposedly a conflict avoider, passive aggressive personality type. For this info he paid 200.00. I could have told him for free!!! LOL Anyway, the info that I would like is how to deal with them in relationships. Anyone know of any good sites? Anyone dealing with this type of partner?
Thanks,
Twyla

I think many of us are dealing with this type of person. see my thread on the recovery page "How do others view your spouse?". The best advice I can give is to not sweat the small stuff. I didn't realize (until the A, and H decided to inform me) that he was basically keeping track of every time I "got my way" and things like that. H will agree to anything if it will avoid a conflict, but you can bet he hasn't forgotten about it. He has made great strides but will always be that way to a certain extent. So I pick and choose my battles very carefully. At least now he realizes those aspects of his personality and is making a sincere effort.

Our marraige was(is?) a passive/aggressive marriage. My counsler described passive aggressive as a pendulam with passive on one end and aggressive on the other. Assertive is in the middle. Assertiveness is learned in time with relationships. Does this help?? I was the aggressive H was the passive-when H left he was aggressive and I was passive-now we are assertive - at times.....
