Hi Sheryl...
The best way to learn is by example...
When you read this reply...
...to see exactly how I do "things"... HTML or UBB...
...click on the "edit" icon of my reply (the little "document" symbol with the pencil on the side... to the immediate right of the "eyeglass" icon)
It will help you see how I do Dr. Harley's Basic Concepts.
(basically it is typing...
[url=http-site(long link)]user-friendly-name[/url]
without any blanks before or after the square brackets ([]).
[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Jim
[This message has been edited by NSR (edited April 24, 2001).]

Well, I'm a little late to this party. By Jove, I think she's got it!
Perhaps I can still contribute a hint. The easiest way to get those sometimes long and messy urls into your reply is notto do all that typing. I prefer to open a second copy of my browser (I use IE 5.5), navigate to the link I want to reference, then click on the address bar. This highlights the whole url. At that point do Ctrl-C to copy it, Alt-Tab to the window where you're composing your post, then Ctrl-V to paste it in. It's a lot easier.
Guess we're giving away the "trade secrets" here, but this place is about sharing [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com].
Steve
