my (ex)wife is what i would call a fitness addict, which is a large cause of our breakup. She is very tiny 5'2 and 100lbs, she wears i think she said a size 3 shorts(i dont know if that is good). Well a few years ago before we got married she has liposuction done on her butt for 2500 dollars. She is also in the gym at least 4 hours 5-6 days a week. She is always running in marathons, or biking in marathons. and she constantly find flaws in the mirror. She told me once that she can never be to perfect.
I think she has a problem, and naturally she doesnt. She says that there is no way that her working out all the time and worrying about her body can be unhealthy, cause fitness is always good for you. Well that is one of the reasons that she found the OM. he was in the gym and works out all the time like her. so they work out together.
Has anyone had this experience?
Do you think that two people that are that into themselves can be together?
Dont get me wrong I am all for fitness, just not all the time. She would let her moods be set by the working out. If she didnt get enough time to work out that day, she was in a bad mood.
------------------
Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.

I think the problem your wife had/has is more common then you think. My husband's ex suffered from an eating disorder while in college. While she no longer starved herself after counseling she was very obsessed with what she ate and her exercise. She ate just enough to keep herself functioning. When the kids were awake she walked them in their strollers. Once they were in bed she was on the tread mill. He said he asked her often to spend the evening with him instead of exercising but she couldn't/wouldn't. She too was so thin she didn't look healthy. He was never overweight. He loved to cook and grill but she rarely ate what he made. He said he strongly feels that her obsessive exercising contributed to their lack of intimacy and communication.
