American Greetings came up with the perfect words for my card to H for our 25th Anniversary. Although not a "true" anniversary card, I'll inscribe it with my own anniversary greeting.
"My Promise to You"
"If you're feeling empty inside,
I'll fill your heart with favorite you-and-me stories to make you smile.
If neither one of us knows what to say,
I'll sit quietly with you in the closeness we share that need no words.
If you start to doubt,
I'll help you find your courage again.
If the climb is steep and long,
I'll hold your hand and we'll walk each step of the way together.
And if you say, "Who cares?"
I'll remind you how very much I do..
Because when I say,
"I'm here for you,"
I mean it for as often and as long and in whatever way you need me."
My own inscription:
<H>,
Happy 25th Anniversary. Along with the marriage vows I made to you 25 yrs. ago, I also promise you the above.
Love always and forever,
<J>

Isn't this a great card? I think someone at American Greetings knows about Plan A and is able to put it in beautiful words.

That is beautiful---and perfect! I found T a card the other day that was also very fitting for our situation. Looks like Harley is teaming up with American Greetings and Hallmark!
Hey, wanna go to Oberweis?

What a beautiful card! I'll have to look for it. I get all hung up on cards and could spend hours at Hallmark. My problem is buying so many beautiful ones for special people, not when I need them, but just because they are so fitting. Then, when the occasion arises when I need that card, I can't find it! I have drawers of unsent cards and figure, someday, I should open my own card shop!! LOL Heyyy, some of them might even be antique collectibles by now! Could be big bucks in that drawer!

I just read this again after getting home from our chat over ice cream. I think I might be a copy cat and get the same card for T for our 10th. It is so fitting.....
Have fun tonight [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]

This is the EXACT card I stuck in H's suitcase when he was out of town this Tues and Weds!! It's hard for me to find card that fit.
It was for no ocassion, he's feeling a little insecure these days and I wanted to reassure him.
