Folks, newcomers in particular:
PLEASE READ THE ARTICLES ON THIS SITE!!!
There is an ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE storehouse of knowledge all packed in on this site. Articles that speak of more than just love banks and love busters - but articles that talk of what you can expect of your WS, how to affair proof your marriage, how to best effect recovery!
Then there are Dr. Harley's books... GREAT TOOLS in your efforts to renew/recreate your marriage after infidelity has tarnished it.
The keys to all of it are TIME and PATIENCE... and KNOWLEDGE!
Hope this helps.
------------------
terri
Courage
Whatever course you decide upon,
there is always someone to tell you
that you are wrong.
There are always difficulties arising
which tempt you to believe that your
critics are right.
To map out a course of action
and follow it to an end
requires courage.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

The book, Surviving An Affair by Dr. Harley reviews that, Maezy. I am not sure that the articles on the website do. I will have to look around for you and see. I won't be able to until later.

Hi Terri,
This is a good post. Is it possible to rename it something like: Newbie's please read first.
Then have some sites listed like the way NSR does.
Ok, I am going on here, but I have noticed some are not even aware of who the Harley's are and already posting here.
Thanks,
L.

Raskal-Thanks for checking that for me. You know, I ordered Surviving an Affair over a month ago and it still has not arrived. It's driving me crazy! I guess it's backlogged. (I didn't order it from this website but from a Canadian one). There seems to be a severe shortage of books on Affairs here. It's an epidemic, for sure!

If the books aren't available here, please check your local library. Many of the suggested reading material are available at the libraries. Also, just a suggestion,,you might try ebay.com or Half.com. Lots of these books at both places.

Another option: If your local library doesn't have the book, see if they can get it through an inter-library loan from another library. I know that this is available at our small community college library, so it can't hurt to ask. If you don't want anyone to know why you want that kind of book ... tell them you are doing research for a graduate course! Maezy,
Here are two links that refer to a few things to expect:
http://www.marriagebuilders.com/graphic/mbi5059_qa.html
http://www.marriagebuilders.com/graphic/mbi5060_qa.html
About half way down is where Dr. Harley makes mention of what to expect. I will try and look around some more tomorrow. I hope this helps, until you can get the book. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Orchid,
Of course you get brownie points!
