I'm trying hard to bring my H out of "the fog" and explain to him what an emotional affair is. I have saw in the past links (url's) to sites that described what an "emotional affair" is. Would really appreciate any info to sites on the net you have that explain this type of affair! Thanks so much! All of you have helped me so much!

Here's a link of info for you. One word of caution: do NOT try to educate your H, it never works. That's where a counselor is indispensable.
What is an Affair
By the way, pay special attention to the last paragraph, and your question of what (if anything) you should say to your H may be easier to answer than you think!
[This message has been edited by new_beginning (edited May 15, 2001).]

I can't recommend any on-line info other than what is on this site. I went thru this very thing myself and did a lot of searching for info and resources as you are doing. I have a book title I can recommend if you are interested.
What is your current situation? I have not visited this site in awhile, so if you posted your story recently, I didn't see it.
When I was living thru this, I found it frustrating that there was not more written on emotional affairs. I felt like no one took it seriously because it wasn't physical. If anything, EAs are more dangerous than strictly PAs.

new_beginning is half right... "do NOT try to educate your H"...
Don't edcuate your H about the "ways" and "wherefores" of EA-s or A-s...
...it is completely counter-prodcutive...
Educate by "example"... i.e. Plan A... with honesty!
You can tell your H... you will be meeting his needs... and avoiding LBs... and you will be honest with your feelings...
If after a extended period of time...
...he rejects this...
...he will be rejecting the marriage...
But...
...don't stuff down his throat...
..."this" is what an affair is... or what an affair means.
Every "lost sheep" has to want to be found!
![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
Jim / NSR
