I found a website that allows you to download from any POP e-mail account, provided that you know a) the e-mail address and b) the password<P>But get this.... it also allows you to SEND e-mail messages from that account too, which could be 'fun'...<P>The URL is: <A HREF="http://umailme.com" TARGET=_blank>http://umailme.com</A> <P>Gosh, I'm sooooooo tempted....just think what fun you could have intercepting messages like 'Meet you at TGI Fridays at 6pm' and then replying with a 'Can't eat there, I'll meet you at Black Eyed Pea at 7pm' he he he he he he he ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha (Whoops, I've cracked!).<P>BUT - I'm just e-mailing the help desk to make sure that when the e-mails are downloaded onto the WS's computer, that there is nothing to detect that they have already been read. I don't know...maybe it's just me..but I have a big problem with people who snoop...so you don't trust them..okay..<BR>why do you want to put yourself through the hurt and pain<BR>of finding what you really don't want to know in the first place? I guess for me its a big LB like..someone reading my<BR>diary..or reading my letters..or watching me take a shower...it's an invasion of PRIVACY!!! how would you feel if someone got your e-mail and read it? doesn't matter if you have anything to hide...but how would you feel? if you got a personal letter in the mail about a friends problems<BR>and someone else read it??? and your friend trusted YOU to keep their secret??? that then makes YOU untrustworthy...<BR>

OK - I know, I know - it's sinking down to their level - but it's just nice to fantasize a bit Don't worry, I'm keeping this one tucked away up my sleeve 'in case of emergency' in the future LOL. It is SO TRUE that checking WS emails is a dirty thing to do. However (there's always an excuse for everything! LOL), in my situation, had I not been "snooping", I would never have known what was really going on. And believe me, when my so-called 'friend' of over 2 yrs (she's married too), started making moves on my H, and backstabbing me in the process... I'm very glad I found out!<P>I've got a great trick for getting passwords...hehehe. I'm no computer genius, but sometimes just plain logical thinking is all it takes. Keep in mind, this 'trick' only works on those email accounts that do NOT automatically send you the password to another account.<P>Here's what I did:<P>I knew H had an account @runbox.com. I opened my own there too (so that if he saw my browser record, I'd have an honest excuse for going there recently). I then opened a few more accounts elsewhere, using HIS name (think about it, you can use ANY alias, and ANY name..all they want is a legitimate postal code most of the time!). My next step was to contact the support team at runbox... using the acct in my H's name that I made up. Here was how my letter to them went:<P>To whom it may concern,<P>I really need your help. My ex got hold of my password to my runbox acct (then gave actual username addy), and now I cannot get into it. I really don't want her to read my mail, which is understandable. Could you please send me the new password, so that I may change it. Thank you!<P>H's name<P>Then comes the snag. I was told I would have to answer the 'secret question'. Oh boy! But you know what? If your spouse uses a REAL question (like birth city), and if you know them well enough, you can answer it! <P>I have to share this part of the story.. it makes me laugh (although the background is obviously sad). H's secret question was, "Girlfriend?". I was stumped at first! Who could be his answer? My first response was Kym (the married OW).. but then I realized... shoot! He's been with at least one other OW, and who knows how many more??? So I responded back to the runbox team:<P>"This will sound awful. But I was seeing a LOT of different women at the time I opened this account, and cannot remember which one I would have used. I will give you a list of various names it could be, and I hope that you will be able to still give me my password.".<P>I listed off some 7 or 8 names...lol... and sure enough, gut instinct prevailed... it was KYM. Needless to say, I got the password. (evil grin).<P>I'll add now, that that was the 2nd time I got the password from that acct. The first time, H left it lying around.. it was the SAME password from something else! I confronted him with my findings, and he changed the password. Then I used my 'trick' a few days later, and after a week or so, I confronted him AGAIN with the most recent emails. The look on his face was priceless!! He couldnt' believe that I could get the password, and he, the 'computer wizard', asked me how I did it. I actually did tell him too. That was about 3 weeks ago now. And I don't want to do anymore snooping anymore anyways. It's true, you get hurt more than you need to be.<P>But I do think I proved my point to him, the fact that I have ways and means of getting information.. and no doubt, he DID realize that too! For me, it was something I needed to do. Yes, it was a HUGE LB! But again, for ME, it allowed me an odd form of closure, and helped me to concentrate on plan A 100%.<P>Karen<BR>
