I asked the other divorce board and having got a reply yet. so I'll ask here.
Is there anyone in here that has a WS that divorced you, then later(maybe a month or 2 maybe a few years) came back and wanted to be with you again?
If so did it work out?

------------------
Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.

I don't know if there's anyone here, but...
Do you know the story of Gavin and Pattie McCloud? He was Captain Stubing on The Love Boat in the 70's, remember?
His head got too big... he cheated... they divorced.
She became a Christian, joined a ladies prayer group, and began the task of "praying her H home"... including, putting his slippers by the bed and having a Bible engraved with his name sitting on his nightstand.
She **stood** for her marriage, even if he didn't.
So... later, and I think it was around two years, although if anyone else knows different, I'm sure they'll say, he did indeed come home!!
They have been remarried for years, and host their own show on TBN - Staying the Course.
It can and does happen.
Is there anyone in here that has a WS that divorced you, then later(maybe a month or 2 maybe a few years) came back and wanted to be with you again?
If so did it work out?>>>>
Not me but my sister. Brace yourself, this will be long! Her H announced he wanted a divorce. He had been treating her pretty badly emotionally for awhile. He insisted there was no OW (which of course turned out to be a lie). Sis did not want the divorce but said that if that is what he really wanted then she would grant it (she's not the Plan A type). They got a dissolution fairly quickly. Shortly after the divorce he told her he had "Never been happier in his life" (he tends to be sadistic). She soon learned there had actually been an OW for awhile. Soemone told her and she ended up finding tons of proof. When Sis and exh were dating he was Mr. Romance. Turns out that when he found his OW he started taking her to the same restaurants, buying her the same gifts etc that he had bought my sister when they were dating.
About 3 months went by and exH called one day and told my sister he felt that "THEY had made a mistake and maybe THEY shouldn't have gotten divorced." Suddenly it was "they" when he was the one who insisted on divorcing, refused counseling etc. She asked him about the OW and he admitted that he was still dating her but would dump her as soon as Sis agreed to give him another chance. Sis didn't want to give him another chance but she did sleep with him one more time just so she would know he had cheated on the OW like he'd cheated on her. He became obsessed. Phone calls at all hours of the night, banging on her door at 3 am, begging for another chance etc. A friend of hers (her spy) said that they were all out in a bar one night and exH publicly berated the OW telling her that she broke up his marriage and she could never hold a candle to my sister. He also started cheating on the OW with several others and basically rubbing her nose in it (all the while still pursuing my sister frantically).
Soon Sis became the "bad guy" to exH. She was "cruel and uncaring" becasue she wouldn't give him another chance even though she was the "only woman he ever really loved". How many multiple layers of fog can any one person have! She moved & changed her number so the only contact exH had was her work email. She got a message saying "I am giving you one more chance before I marry the OW. I want you to be my wife and for us to have a family together but I'm tired of waiting. I don't love OW but I will marry her anyway if I can't have you. Please reconsider giving us another chance. I will always be there for you.Even once I'm married it's still not too late for us." What a psycho! She took a job in a new city so he has no idea where she is.

BioMan,
My exH's brother and his wife were divorced about 1 year, I think, and then remarried. My neighbor and her H were divorced about 1 1/2 - 2 years and they remarried, also. Both couples are still together.
It definitely can happen. But, then I think of all the other people I know who are D and never remarry each other. I guess you just never know.
Desiree
------------------
"Life is made up, not of great sacrifices or duties, but of little things in which smiles and kindnesses and small obligations, given habitually, are what win and preserve the heart and secure comfort."
Sir Humphry Davy
I know two couples that actually did that. The first couple the husband cheated on her and left for the other woman. She was his soulmate and they were going to live happy ever after. After two years the fog lifted. He could not believe what he has done. They started seeing alot of each other and realize that they were still in love. People told her I can not believe you took him back. Her reply was I going to take the second half. They have been back together almost ten years now and seem to be very happy. The other couple were married the first time when they were real young and recently got married again nineteen years later.
