There was an older lady who used to post frequently on one of my e-support groups and before that, on the very first EMR recovery board that I found upon discovering that my H was having an EMR. This was back in 1999.
For more than four years, this courageous soul battled her H's "fog" ... after the first discovery of the EMR, she gave him another chance. Predictably, he blew it.
I just recieved word that this very strong lady died of a massive heart attack. She was older than most, but cetainly not "elderly." She had many good years ahead to spend with her children and grandchildren. There was never any final resolution with her H. At the time she died, she had come to terms with the fact that he would never be the H she needed him to be. She was finally on the road to peace. But there was also a lot of stress in her life for many years as her H yo-yo'ed back and forth in her life.
This lady cut to the chase in her posts. She had very strong views on adultery and the OP. She knew what was right and what was wrong. She brooked no nonsense. She was much stronger than she ever knew she was.
Please add her to your prayers tonight. I cannot help to think that she finally died of a broken heart, after all of the stress and turmoil her H's EMR took on her life.
This should not have happened.
yours in sadness,
belldandy :'(

Belldandy, I know who you are talking about, I *talked* to her several times on another board. She was not one to play word games for sure.
My heart goes out to her children and grandchildren. I pray she has found peace now.
I can't help but wonder what her h is thinking now.

Thank you for your prayers, fellow MB'ers.
I heard from the Warrior Spirit's husband, who responded to my note of condolence. He is no longer in the Fog. Finally. At last. He has nothing but good things to say about his W, and feels terrible for "pursuing the wrong things in life." Looks like the OW is finally out of the picture.
I'm just sad that it had to come to this for him to realize what his beautiful W was worth to him.
I wish there were a way that all WS's could learn about this story and learn from it. Infidelity breaks hearts; sometimes quite literally.
belld
