hi mainemade,
I know all the abbreviations get confusing!! To find out what most of them are, go to the Infidelity discussion forum called "Just Found Out." There is a posting there entitled "Acronyms, Smilies and UBB Codes." Read that, and you will learn most of the abbreviations.
You should explore other parts of the site, especially Harley's "Basic Concepts," or even order some of his books. They will explain all this to you in detail.
That said, some of the more common ones you will see are:
WS--Wayward Spouse--the spouse having the affair
BS-Betrayed Spouse--spouse who was cheated on
OM--"Other Man"--wife's affair partner
OW--"Other Woman"
OP--"Other Person"--sometimes used instead of OW or OM
EN's--Emotional Needs
LB's--"Love Busters" actions or words that withdraw "Love Units from your spouse's "Love Bank."
I could keep going, but go to the other thread for the full explainations!! Good luck to you and keep posting!
Calla

One more thing..."D-Day" is generally the day that the affair was discovered or revealed to the betrayed spouse.
