Hi,everyone.
I read this on this site a year or two ago in the midst of a lot of pain...It helped me and I thought it might help the "newbies" in the site and any one else who needs some inspiration. My own marriage has been restored by using a lot of the principles on this site. My prayers are with those of you still in the battle.
I AM STANDING FOR THE HEALING OF MY MARRIAGE
I will not give up, give in, give out, or give over 'til the healing takes place. I made a vow, I said the words, I gave the pledge, I gave a ring, I took a ring, I gave myself, I trusted God, and said the words and meant the words...in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy, for better and for worse, for richer and for poorer, in good times and in bad... I am standing NOW, and will not sit down, let down, slow down, calm down, fall down, look down, and be down 'til the breakdown is torn down.
I refuse to put my eyes on outward circumstances, listen to prophets of doom, or buy into what is trendy, worldly, popular, convenient, easy, quick, thrify, or advantageous...nor will I settle for a cheap imitation of God's real thing, nor will I seek to lower God's standard, twist God's will, rewrite God's word, violate God's covenant, or accept what God hates, namely divorce!
In a world of filth, I will stay pure; surrounded by lies, I will speak the truth; where hopelessness abound, I will hope in God; Where revenge is easier, I will bless instead of curse; and where the odds are stacked against me, I will trust in God's faithfulness.
I am a STANDER, and I will not acquiese, compromise, quarrel or quit...I have made the choice to set my face, entered the race, believed the Word, and trusted God with the outcome.
I will allow neither the reaction of my spouse, nor the urging of my friends, nor the advice of my loved ones nor economic hardship, nor the prompting of the devil to make me let up, slow up, blow up, or give up 'til my marriage is healed.
God bless,
Jen

Hi! I posted this about a year ago on the Recovery Forum. Not sure if anyone else here has posted it or not (???).
The orginal site I found it at is www.rejoiceministries.org
...just in case anyone is interested.
Peace, ~Marie
------------------
I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move.
The Bible
Matthew 17:20
ooops...had to edit. It was .org NOT .com, silly me ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/wink.gif)
[This message has been edited by ohmy_marie (edited June 20, 2001).]

Hi,
Thanks Marie. Thanks for the information on the source! I don't think I saw it under your post because I wasn't reading recovery posts at that time, ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif) but I'm glad to know where it comes from. I plan to check out the web site.
Just as a FYI, I let my WS read this in the middle of the crisis, and I think it really made him think. (you know, wow.. she's really determined, she's not going to make it easy for me to do the wrong thing and give me an excuse to go to OW etc.)
