Okay...
H is leaving. Really he is. Eventually. He has a plan and everything....
Has been calling realtors and just got preapproval for an amount today....going to look at houses in a few.
Why? If he's leaving me...if we're eventually getting a divorce does he really think he's going to leave me with a mortgage payment bigger than our rent payment?
WAT--I think this is a perfect example of alien abduction...moosehead thinking.
Certainly one for our book:
"All the insane decisions a WS makes during confusion."
Cali

Your right a classic case of alein abduction. All you can do now is protect yourself from financial problems. Get some legal advise. You don't have to act on it but it is worth knowing. Let him know you are thinking clearly and how you feel about an investment of any kind at this point in your marriage.
I'm praying for a cure for moosehead thinking.
JuJu

What JuJu said. Don't sign up for ANY long term debt until he disengages from the Mothership.
BTW - it's moose brain worms. First introduced to this forum a few months back by mbtrk (I think). They're an actual parasite that moose get that makes them do crazy things - reportedly a sure ringer for WS fog.
WAT

Cali,
My W did the same thing, only a car. About a month after she came back the first time, and after telling me she could leave again at any moment, then she wants to go shopping for a new car!
I said, "Sweetheart, you can't even tell me if you'll be here tomorrow and you want me to go and buy you a new car? I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but I think I'd really be stupid to do that." Was that a LB? It was the nicest way I could think of saying it at the time (and at the time I hadn't found MB. Do they really *think* about this stuff, or did the aliens just keep their brains when they had them in the ship?
Ish

Cali - do you think our WH's are in contact with each other - mine told me tonight that he's thinking of buying a new car too.....I just had to reply "what with?"
But it's OK - because he told me the other day that he was "Confused and unsure, but felt in control of the situation"...
Someone please tell me that the past 20 years have all been a dream, and that I didn't REALLY let this man father my children...
Best wishes, Paint.
