Once again I just don't get it. We have friends that came from out of town haven't seen in 2 years, was to have meet them in DC where they were staying.
When I first found out about their visit I didn't think that I would be able to go up with H and kids to see them, it's so hard putting on the happy wife routine, I made this comment to H and he said that we didn't need to split up our friends and that I should go if I wanted to see them, so wasn't sure how I was going to handle this, but thought going to DC we would tourist and visit.
Didn't happen quite like that!! The friends drove down about 3 hours to have lunch and visit, I went and put on that happy wife face and thought I am not going to say anything as H still has not told the youngest child yet.H acted like nothing was wrong, talked out upcoming move in the we context, I don't do that it's he is going to Utah.
We ended up spliting up and the guys went to play golf and we went touristing. Met back up at home. I had the youngest one with us and the friend kept talking about our move to Utah and how was I going to like it and did I think that I would have a hard time finding a job and did we..... and so on. I just kept smiling, very hard at times.
Friends orginally planned on staying in a hotel, but somehow through supper it turned into them staying on our sofa bed, (Gee were was H going to sleep) Ha!
As we were setting and playing dominoes I noticed that H did not have his ring on, but didn't say anything just thought that it was odd as he had made a big to do about it a while back when I asked why he still had it on and he said that we were still married. I will give him the benfit of the doubt as I know he usually took it off in the past when golfing and put on his key ring, I had his keys today though.
So I left to come to work and friends were sleeping on sofa and H in our bed. Will see in the morning if ring is on.
Bothers me that he didn't say anything and I guess I know that the youngest was with us the whole time so it wasn't possible. But still!!!!!! He hasn't told anyone as he is afraid they will talk him out of it or something I guess I don't know. I believe til he starts telling others that he is leaving me it's all fantasy and not real. And I know that some told me to plan B and that might force him into telling others, but I am not ready for plan B emotionally or finacially. Could I just hit him up side the head with a 2x4? I'm sure there is one laying around from an unfinished project! Even today before going to meet the friends I asked him to do this, this and that and left for an hour thinking that he would have them done and the friends called so we could meet and things still weren't done and had to wait on him.

Enough venting, thank you! thank you! thank you! Probably nothing any of you can say or do for this one but to have read it and I thank you for doing that any thoughts or suggestions feel free.

Hi Daybreak,
Yes, this is so hard. Trying to put on a front. Let me ask you if you were that friend would you appreciate that front? Is this a close enough friend that might be hurt once the truth is out? On the other hand, H might be seeing what he might lose once he leaves. If your friends are perceptive enough, the other H and your H may have done some talking.
Hard to say which way all this goes. But I wanted you to know that I did read your post and am pulling for you out here in CA. I have a 'squishy baseball bat' that my 6 year old uses. You are welcome to use it. Let me know. Maybe the LB Fairie can pay your H a visit.
Take Care,
L.
