MyWS went through the usual nasty comments to me, telling me I had aged alot and he wasn't ready to be a grandpa-in the beginning.
WS has lived with OW for 4+ months now. For at least the last 2 he has been a kinder, more loving man to my children than ever before. He actually went to bring my granddaughter a bike for her b-day, told her it was from him and me, and stayed to visit with my D for half an hour!
This is behavior my WS never exibited at all in our 25 years of M. He never once bought a gift for anyone other than me, and never said more than a few sentences to our D at once before. I would even say he is sincere in his attempts to be nice. He has a more gentle manner about him which I just can't understand. He is kinder to me as well. Yet he goes home to his OW every night and makes no efforts to talk to me other than our usual routine conversation, despite my attempts to talk about us or her.
Has anyone gone through this with their WS? Does anyone have any ideas what could be going on?
I read before that WS's are more in love with the way the OP sees them and makes them feel than with the actual OP.
I know his WS makes him think he's a knight in shining armour. Maybe he's acting that way to us because she makes him feel so wonderful?
What do you think?

Maezy:
My take as a former WS? He is in the fog and is putting his best foot forward to impress the OW.
Or maybe even some measure of guilt. It is hard to peer clearly into the fog.
Godspeed,
STL
