Just wanted to brag. I went to the shop to check them out and the guy said he had an opening right then and there so I jumped at it. Maybe I will upload a picture at some point (once the redness wears off). It's very cool, I love it.
Buffy, if you read this I wanted to thank you for your words of encouragement and understanding in my other post. I need to hear it. You are right, I know what I must do, but it is extremely difficult for me and I need lots of encouragement. Sometimes I feel like I am a broken wheel saying the same stuff over and over, but I just need to do it. Thanks again. Your comments really help lift me up and give me affirmation that I am doing the best I can right now.

HBH-Good for you!! Doing something for yourself! I've got 3, all placed where I can cover them if I want, or show them if I want.
Like Jendan, my girls think it's kinda cool too! However, I do try to explain that they last forever & you have to make sure you 1) want one & 2) that you get what you want. I didn't get my first one until I was 27. . even though I've wanted one since I was in HS. I'm very sure that had I got one in my teens, it wouldn't be what I want now!!

I agree. I'm 26 and it took me SO long to decide what I wanted because I knew it would be forever. What kind of tattoos do you guys have?
Mine is a dragon in front of a blue moon right above my left breast.

I have 3 tattoos.
Got my first one on my 25th birthday. It's a heart, moon and 3 stars..on my left calf..the heart for my husband...the moon for me to shine on the heart...and the 3 stars representing our daughters. Doesn't seem to mean much anymore though.
On my right calf is a rose with the stem going through a heart.
On my right shoulder I have a Tweety Bird with our daughters names around it.

Okay - here's a crusty 42 year old who has been considering a tattoo. I like the lighthouse idea - good representation for my H as well as he's an East Coast Maritimer. However, not ready for that yet.
I had considered getting my navel pierced, but OW had hers pierced while they were having their 4 day tryst in Winnipeg. My H actually said it wasn't something he'd talked about, but she insisted. SOO- I just know she either still has the piercing or at least the scar of it on her navel as a painful reminder, which I'm sad to say gives me a bit of glee..
However, I digress and am now thinking more seriously of having a small, discreet, concealable and revealable tattoo.
