I am very new to this site. I have only been here for about 2 weeks. I have some questions, but i'll give some background so you all know where i'm coming from. I have just finished reading the SAA book. Sooo good! My H and I had a marriage that was not very good. We both knew it but I guess didn't care at the time?? We had both hurt each other to the point where you just shut down. Anyhow, I started to notice that my H was very distant. I knew he went to bars with friends out of town but he had never brought it here, until this Feb. At first it was with friends, then he started going out by himself. Of which i knew was not good. On April 1st,H informed me that he no longer loved me or wanted me. He was thinking of moving out and getting a divorce. He said i had hurt him so much he just didn't feel like trying anymore. He said I had crushed his heart and that I could never win it back. I of course starting crying. He said it was to late, even if I tried it wouldn't work. I was completely devastated. I immediately started making changes. It was like I was rag then I'm not. I just did a complete turn around. Unfortunately, by the time he saw this he had already had an affair. He went to a rock concert and never came back. I knew what he had done. For next few months I did everything I could. You name it I did it. I didn't even know about this MB stuff. He treated me so harsh and cruel, but I took it. I figured it was his way of paying me back for all that I had put him through. Well, i finally ended up getting to confess about what had happened. Its like I already knew, I just needed him to say those Awful words to me. I cheated on you. Talk about being slapped in the face. Its one thing to suspect, but to have your spouse say those words is the most painful thing I have ever experienced. I'm crying now just thinking about it. The hurt is still so fresh still. I know i'm going on and on but i need to talk to someone. I'll write post again, I need to check my kids.

Hi PaytonRose,<P>What an interesting name. I would like to welcome you to MB. Sorry for your reasons to be here but you are welcome to join us for support. <P>Here is a welcome thread that I would like to share with you.<P> <A HREF="http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/Forum37/HTML/009007.html" TARGET=_blank>http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/Forum37/HTML/009007.html</A> <P>Along with this, my personal favorite that helped me is about the 5 stages of grieving. <P> <A HREF="http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/Forum34/HTML/002494.html" TARGET=_blank>http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/Forum34/HTML/002494.html</A> <P>There many useful tools here in addition to this site. There is the books SAA and hisneeds/herneeds, givers/takers. Another one is by a Dr James Dobson "love must be tough". The Harley's offer phone counseling sessions along with the emotional needs questionnaire. <P>Prepare yourself for more hurtful words. Read up on some other's post whose situations are simlar to yours. Some of our spouses had A's due to the internet, workmates, friends, etc. Situations may vary but the pattern is fairly common and somewhat perdictable. <P>For now you have some homework to do. This will strengthen you so that you will be able to face what is ahead. <P>Take Care and keep us posted. <P>L.<P>
