Someone I know took one of these "self motivation"/"self building"/ "how to live" kind of courses and really recommended it to me. ( www.landmarkeducation.com)
It is roughly 4 days course.
My W (WS) took the course and the results are pretty amazing. It helps a lot in different areas including understanding of other people, communication etc. She started to read books , understand more where I am coming from and I think much more (that I still have to discover).
I wanted to post this later when I see other effects of this course on her but I decided that it looks so helpfull that other people mught be very interested.
I highly recommend it judging on the results on her. It really helps us to solve our problems.
They have these courses in a lot of the cities and they also give introduction seminars.
Obviously, I am not affiliated with this company, just a bit amazed at the results.
Let me know if you have any questions, I'll try to help.
Ivan,
[This message has been edited by Ivan (edited July 06, 2001).]

I will be attenting a fabulous three-day seminar in August. (you can also check out www.zigziglar.com)
I agree with you that these seminars are ALWAYS helpful, and sometimes they can have profound results. They can sometimes be a bit $$$, but changing your life (or your spouse's) is certainly worth it!
One of Zig Ziglar's famous sayings is "You will get what you want when you help enough other people get what they want"....not verbatim, but that's the general idea. Being here and watching everyone reach out to help others is just a confirmation of that belief!
Thanks for sharing your experience, and I would recommend such seminars to everyone here.
Blessings,
Bound

Zorweb,
Thanks for asking. I am doing ok, not great but I think it is getting better. MB helps a lot especially your posts to me and others. And as I said, this course was a really big step, she started to see a lot of things that I am not sure she would've seen as fast without it. Anyways, there is a lot of problems ahead (I guess we are pretty deep into the problems), so I'll keep reading and posting.

quote:
Originally posted by zorweb:
Thanks Ivan,
I'm going to check this out.
Hope things are going ok for you.
Z

Ivan:
Stay the course. This is a marathon you are in, not a sprint. Take the long view. Use and implement the principles here. One day at a time, one step at a time. Eventually, you will look up and be surprised at how far the two of you have come.
Godspeed,
STL

STL, Zorweb,
I guess we posted this at the same time.
STL, actually this is not a joke. My W was so moved by the course that I have no choice now and I am taking the next one together with our friends. She says it is needed for everyone. I'll post my comments (in light of MB pprincipals especially) after I take it.
I.

quote:
Originally posted by SeenTheLight:
Ivan:
If zorweb is going to check it out, that means I am too <smile>.
Thanks in advance for the info.
Godspeed,
STL

STL,
Thanks. After 5 months since D-day I still need these reminders. Sometimes I get so upset that there are no visible changes but when I look back I can see that there are a lot of good changes.
So thanks for reminding me again.
I.
Ivan:
Amen. That is why zorweb and I continue to come here. Every day we gain new insights and garner strength from this site.
In realizing how truly fortunate we are, and the role that MB's principles and the members here played, we can only try to contribute in some small way to repay this community.
Godspeed,
STL
