Well, ya gotta scrape to find good news sometimes.
Had a session with Steve today. I described how I recently confirmed that the affair is still HOT. I had previously thought it may have slacked off and even ended, but I was wrong.
So why is this good? Well, this means my wife is still TOTALLY SCREWED UP!!! In the other scenario, it's a whole new ballgame if the affair had ended and she still didn't want to reconcile. See?
Steve's diagnosis was that this is a CLASSIC!
The bigger they are, the harder they fall!
It's just a matter of WHEN, not if.
I DID NOT come home and kick the dogs today. I went and got Taz and I some big juicy steaks for the grill. Found her some Marmite in the store (Cheap impression of Vegemite.)
WAT

Hola WAT,
I do see, and I agree. As long as she is in the A and continues to deny it, tells us Fantasyland is alive and well. Steve H. is one smart guy.
Hey ... and from what I hear, those doggies of yours are too small to kick. Aren't they Chuawawa's (sp)?
I'm BBQing tonite as well, but marinated Mesquite chicken.
Enjoy your evening!
Best,
Jo

Well, WAT, that made my night as well. My H continues in fantasyland also. But, I know they have to have contact, heck, they have a son, plus there is the "work is my life" thing. Unfortunately, the person who covers for him quit. He'll very soon need to be available 24/7!!!! This is pretty much how we got ourselves into this mess in the first place. It will be interesting to see how it plays out for him.
Steve told me the same thing you know, the bigger they are, the harder they fall...when not if.

But I can see what Steve means by the length of time going by and so much damage being done that it can be very hard to piece anything back together...
At least I know my H is still in counseling. He also doesn't seem to get too angry anymore when his lack of memory is made apparent to him, no matter how inocently it is made apparent to him.
Steve had also told me that the "giver snap" thingy, (some call mlc etc.) tends to have the same time frame. 2 years supposedly being the top. At present I am dubious that anyone walks out of the fog. But, I read a recent account on another board that I visit...in which the WS did exactly that... He walked out of the "fog" or black hole as he put it...and was very embarrassed.... It was almost two year exactly...
Can you say patience????

Wow, you ladies ROCK!!!
Cali - hang tough - you're doing good.
Jo - keeping it light, I marinated the steaks and they were SOOOOOOOOO good. Just used one of those bottled marinades - very, very good. Taz flipped! No, one dog is a miniature wire haired daschund (microwave dog) and the other is a Shi Tsu (microwave dog). I call them microwave dogs because they're small enough to fit in one.
I want you all to know that I have met tootrusting face to face and she is ONE CLASSY B****!. And I'm not saying that just to be nice. Her H is an idiot to turn his back on her.
WAT

Dave - you are quite the BBQ fiend! Taz may get spoiled and reup for another tour of duty.
I guess this means there is still hope for your wife in a strange sort of way. Isn't it crazy how this all works?

hello WAT,
sorry to hear your wife is still 'lost'....but like someone else mentioned, she is following the script. There are a few benefits in that and at these times we need to take stock of those. (((((hugs))))) cl

I love that line that Steve gave you---it sure cheered me up, that's for sure! A glimpse of hope sure does make it easier to have a positive outlook, doesn't it??
So, are you going to grill up some steaks for us when we all come to visit you?

WAT:
Was out of town and just (in in midst of insomnia) found this post.
I am LMAO ... just thinking of your statement from a non-MB perspective ... "My wife's affair is hot and heavy, and I am glad!" ... but to be in the fog means that there is yet hope; if she were indeed out of it and doing what she has been doing, then it would be a horse of a different color.
Sounds like a great BBQ.
Regards and Godspeed,
STL
