Okay...I have a dilemma...
Starting Sat. we are driving to Phoenix to drop off boys at my sister's...then we are heading up to Vegas...We will be gone for a week.
I have an ibook that I could bring with me and be able to keep in touch with you guys...but as posting here is a LB to him, I am thinking about leaving it at home.
It definitely is an LB because he said "if you had stopped going to that place, OW and OWH would not have known anything about Vegas and all this drama wouldn't have happened."
I probably should leave it at home, because I need to start getting used to not being 'available' all day...once we get back from Vegas I go into training to be an Intel Master teacher (integration of technology & Microsoft products into the classroom)...plus school starting is just around the corner...
Is there a 12-step program for MB? I feel withdrawal coming on [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com].
Cali
------------------
Live Impeccably In Your Word.
Don't Take Anything Personally.
Make No Assumptions.
Do Your Best Always.

Suggested remedy.
E-mail to some of us during your stay. If you want info, let us be the ones to get it for you. Don't over load us though, we know how busy you can be on these boards. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Make sure you have enough time to have FUN. Trust me. We promise to hold all our problems until you get back. LOL [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Have a fun time there. Spend quality time with your H.
Doc L's orders. MB Withdrawal is not permanent.
L.

I agree with L, time with H is THE most important part!!
Worse than your withdrawal from us, is our withdrawal from not having you around!! You are way to important to us..we will miss you soooooo much!!
(hows that for a guilt trip...am I doing ok?... [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com])
YOU have a great trip!!!!!! See you there!!!..hehe
Trueheart

I'm thinking the same thing for me. But I'll only be away for 2 days (all day Sunday, but back by Monday night).
I too am VERY addicted to this site.. this forum inparticular. However, H is very understanding of me being on here. I don't overload him with the principles, but he knows that because of them I have been able to change. I'm even trying to get him to join and add his viewpoint from a WS's point of view. But if that's to happen, it's a LONG way down the road.
Ok Cali... Me, You, and whoever else wants to join... let's create our own 12 step program. However, I don't think that complete abstinence would be appropriate.. we'll have to modify things some. Kind of like a gradual breaking free method. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Karen
Cali,
That's the great thing about MB - everybody can have a different opinion, and you can draw from everybodies.
Since OW and OWH found about your trip, and it is now a LB to H - who is the most important here? Sure, we're friends, but in the grand scheme of life, who is the most important, and who means the most?
If you don't answer H - we'll brain you!!!!!!!!!!!!
What are we suppose to do HERE? Give support. What are you doing when you are on here?????
Answer: Not devoting time to your H - so
I suggest that you go to Vegas without any computer, and forget the computer stuff - just be with your H - isn't that really what you want? Why draw attention off of him - go to the pool, the casinos, dinner, etc. And relax with H, and enjoy your vacation. You've earned it, and your H deserves it too. If he wanted you to bring the computer, he probably would not agree to the trip.
So, girl, do the right thing, we'll be here, when you get back to tell us how much fun you had. Devote yourself, your love, and your attention to your H. That is what MB is about.
hugs, aftershock

p.s. Cali,
Your H knows the OW can come here and find out what is going on anyway. And if he is really trying to shake that part of his life off, being here only hurts him.
I am not saying leave (we wouldn't want you to do that), I am just saying that it is NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS what your and your h do. If he wanted them to know, he would probably tell them.
If he is like me, I don't want our OW knowing anything at all about our life - nothing. And he probably feels the same. When he goes to his other place, it is to get through all of this, so he does not have all the pressure on him - just to relax and be himself.
Take care of him, okay? aftershock

Last year when we went to Mexico...and I'd already been on MB 1 1/2 years...I worried about my "need" for MB. Trust me, you can go a week without...and jump back in...I'm still here at 2 1/2 years (yeah, what IS wrong with me?).
Things will happen, new people will appear...but we can muckle along without you, and sigh with relief when you come back [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com].
Live the moment with your H and have a wonderful time. We do expect a full update...take notes [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com].
------------------
Lor
"Whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, gracious...think about these things." Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!!!
I propose you leave the dern confuser at home and concentrate on you and your H. Sooner or later we all need to fly solo.
If you have to, play a game in your mind trying to predict what's happening with certain posters and see how right you are when you get back.
WAT

OK...I am rescinding my previous post. (Is it ok that a man change his mind? Am I in tune with my female side or what?... [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com])
I actually totally agree with everyone that said NO Contact while gone! My gut reaction was this one.
My Selfish answer was because we will miss you Marsha, and I wanted to know how well things were going for you and H. LOL...Ill be there and not doing MB for several days too!!
Everyone is right!! Get away from it and just enjoy the lights, the people and each other!! (Make sure to make a nite to go to Fremont Street and see the canopy light show!! I hear it is awesome!)
True

Okay, Okay--computer stays at home...
my cell # is....just kidding...
I'll be on tomorrow sporadically; then we are leaving very late Fri night/early Sat a.m. We want to get to Phoenix by breakfast Saturday, so we can get to Vegas by early evening.
If you want me to post to you when I get back---on a specific post that occurs while I am gone---my email is InShockInCali@excite.com.
Cali
------------------
Live Impeccably In Your Word.
Don't Take Anything Personally.
Make No Assumptions.
Do Your Best Always.
