I was just wondering how many of you are in your first marriage? Does it make any difference how much you are prepared to do to make the marriage work? Easy to divorce since it's the first time or easy to divorce since it's the third time???
I am in my first marriage and my WHs third wife! Sometimes I wonder what an earth I was thinking marrying him...!!!!
B
I'm in my second marriage. It's my wife's first.
I was first married at 20. Got the big D at 24 - yeah, I know :-) Second time I got married at 32 and to a very different person than the first time.
I don't want to go through a second D - I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy - but I'm not scared of it either. I'm prepared to work on my marriage but it's not a one-way street. Respect works two ways.

Dear Bears,
It sounds like your husband knows how to get 'em but not how to keep 'em. Whatever he did to catch you is what he has to still do in order to keep you... Just a thought?
Your question reminds me of a joke I heard recently? A man said that his wife told him she was a fool to marry him. He said, Oh honey, you were so beautiful at the time I didn't even notice.
![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif) You're going to make it. What is the saying? Three times is a charm. You came to the right place to learn about how to save your marriage so I believe you will do it! Hang in there!

Sometimes the thoughts that go through my mind are: "well, he's done this before, so I guess it gets easier, and THIS D will be NO BIG DEAL for him. Just the next to fall in a long line of failures he's established for himself." Although NONE of the other M's lasted anywhere near as long as ours.
I hope I'm proved wrong tho. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif)
Lupo
LOL Bin...
Reminds me that we all need to look at things from a different perspective from time to time to see what others think...
A baseball coach came to the mound to take the rookie pitcher out of the game, as he was getting shelled badly.
The young pitcher looked at the manager and protested, "But skipper, I am not tired!"
The manager looked out in the field, turned to the rookie and said, "Yeah, but outfielders are beat!!"
Sometimes it helps to see things from a different perspective... ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
*Go confidently in the direction of your dreams.*
Trueheart
