Hi All,
My wife is currently looking for a job, she has been for a few inverviews for one particular job, but she was told today she didn't get it. She phoned me and she seems so down and snappy at anything positive I try to say. I think she is so disillusioned because she hasn't got a job. Anything I say on the subject is always wrong, or she already knows that. She did phone back to apologise.
When she called, she said she is going to see the OM for the weekend and she doesn't know when she'll be back. I feel so frustrated by this situation, everything I try to do to help just ends up going wrong. I try and organise something interesting for us to do and it never seems to go well.
She always seems to run to the OM when things go wrong, or she feels unhappy. I do everything and nothing seems to make her happy, or appreciated. He does nothing, and makes her happy. She's like a little kid running to daddy when mummy tells her off!
We are in the process of buying a house too. When she was going for the interviews she was really interested and excited, now it's like "I don't care what you do about the house!"
I could really do with some prayers here! I'm tired of trying to help all the time and it backfiring in my face all the time. I work my backside off, I can't just run away and give up. If I did i'd be on the streets begging for money!
I just wish for once the OM did something wrong. I feel so much like just kicking her out and starting plan B. Let's see how well Mr 'wonderful can't do a bloody thing wrong' does when he has to pay the bills, he has to worry whether there is enough money in the account. etc etc.
I'm sorry to rant, but I know how much HARD work i put in. How many times I bite my tongue, and how many times I have to fight with satan to stay happy!
Plec.

Hi plecostomous, and welcome to MarriageBuilders. If you hae not read the material on the main part of this site, I recommend it. Then come back and tell us more of your story. There are people here who want to help.

About the house, I personally would put a hold on that. I wouldn't make that big purchase while everything is up in the air. Read about Plan A/Plan B. Read Dobson's book "Love must be tough". Your marriage can be saved, but it's going to be a long haul.

Hey pleco
I HEAR ya!!! I'm right there with you... All the smiling and Plan A'ing and working yourself to try to maintain and NOTHING! Your W sounds just like mine... I can't say or do anything right... OM can do no wrong, or at least is some sort of comfort for her instead of me.
It's really REALLY frustrating. But it would be worse to back out now and start LB'ing. We've just got to stay the course and hope that they come around...
Let's rely on each other for support... Sounds like similar situations... Also GodlyMan, Husband2You, Freddy, others...
zen

Thanks guys,
I don't often feel emotional about things now, I've hardened so much to the situation. But soemtimes the stuff on this site just brings me to tears, don't know what it is, just me realise how much i'm missing something in my life!
I would not bother with the house, but everything has been up in the air for so long. It took a long time to sell, and I just want a stable base. I don't feel at home in the place i'm renting.
Thanks again,
Plec.
