I swear....this man hasn't got a brain in his head.
He calls me this morning....wants to know if he can come see the kids before he goes to work. He's swithced shifts for the night.
Me: No...they aren't here.
HIM: Where are they?
ME: Your mom came and took them to the park for a while.
HIM: What park did they go to?
ME: I don't know. (i truly didn't know)
HIM: You want me to come over to discuss some things?
ME: No
HIM: Why not?
ME: Because....I told you already that I'm not ready to discuss that stuff right now.
HIM: So I'm just supposed to wait?
ME: I waited for you for 6 months and you left anyway....I don't think it's too much to ask for some time for myself.
HIM: OK
Alot of silence after that....then I said...if you don't want anything else I'm getting off of here. Said bye.
He called back later for some stupid reason....just wanna smack him upside the head.
ME: Hello?
HIM: Hey...what are you doin?
ME: Nothing.
HIM: Did you say whether or not I could have the kids Sunday night or not?
ME: I already told you no. You just had them last Saturday night. Once we are divorced you will only get them every other weekend. Might as well get used to it now. No sense in confusing the girls anymore.
HIM: Oh yeah....I forgot.
ME: From now on you can see them every Wednsday evening and every other weekend from Saturday afternoon to Sunday evening at 5.
HIM: Oh......ok...but what if I want another night during the week.
ME: Well...with your hectic lifestyle I wouldn't start seeing them 2 nights a week and then all the sudden not be able to do it anymore. You've already broken too many promises to them.
HIM: OK
LOTS OF SILENCE.................
Me: Is that all you wanted?
HIM: I guess so.
ME: K....I'm going now. Bye
What was the purpose of that call? He never asked if the kids were back yet.....he knew that he couldn't have the kids this Sunday night...and already knew the visitation schedule....I'd discussed it with him the night he packed his stuff.
Oh...and in all this conversation....he wanted to know what race track I was going to this weekend and if I was meeting my boyfriend there. I just said.....whatever...that's getting old.
Its called staying connected! He hasnt let go, he doesnt want to let go, but he cant tell you that.
Its also called guilt, control, manipulation...
He is spiralling downhill in a hurry and you are the only familiar thing in his life...
Its called mass confusion....
He isnt sure about anything..gut instinct tells me he wishes he could say something, but OW has claws in too deep and he doesnt have a clue as to how to stop anything
He is out of control...
I know that doesnt help MP, but its just me guessing, from being there before...
*Go confidently in the direction of your dreams.*
(You handled yourself beautifully, by the way!!)
Trueheart

Thank you TH! I thought I handled it rather well myself.....could tell he was a little off by the way I talked to him.
Thing is.....isn't it already too late for him to be trying to hang on....making his list out so we could have an uncontested divorce.....wanting to talk about it so he can get this over with.
I noticed that he left alot of personal things the other night....things that had nothing to do with me....he told me that whatever he left I could throw in the trash.
I wonder if he is seeing the door closing?
He doesn't want to talk about the "lists" on the phone he wants to do it in person.
He said that he would be taking the girls out to where he is staying when he gets them of the evening.....but then asked if he could leave his bike here in case our oldest wants to go for a bike ride when he visits?
What's this all about........this man is more confusing than a rubix cube!

You cannot make sense of sensless people- IE those infected w/ Moose Brain Worms or Abducted by Aliens, so I wouldn't try to. Laughing and trying to realize that he is not rational helps alot more than actually trying to make sense of foggese. It would take an entire book to try to translate it into anything resembling sense.
Here's a joke I got in the email you might like to help you chuckle a bit:
A man sat in his attorney's office. "Do you want the bad news first or the terrible news?" the lawyer said.
"Give me the bad news first."
"Your wife found a picture worth a half-million dollars."
"That's the bad news?" asked the man incredulously. "I can't wait to hear the terrible news."
"The terrible news is that it's of you and your secretary."

[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
