Hi,
I know this has been posted about before, but need to ask again about software that logs keystrokes, enables you to see what has been going on on the computer. Re the spector software that records keystrokes - where do you purchase it? do you know the site? can you buy something similar at a store rather than buying online?
Thanks for your help,
S

sobelle,
If you go to www.dogpile.com, its a search engine. Type in any key word like snooping, infidelity, etc. and you will get many of these types of programs. I am not sure if you have a specific one in mind, but I know just from searching, you can literally find dozens. (I never knew so many people were making $$ doing that!!)
Trueheart

sobelle,
We use the software sold on www.iopus.com. You can download a free trial copy to make sure you like it. We've been using it for about three months now on all of our computers and have never had any problems with it.
Z

S, et al.:
007Starr http://www.iopus.com has the option to be invisible (good if you are trying to verify things) or to post a dialog box that informs the user that the system is being monitored.
Stealth mode is generally best. If using it to gather information, it will serve its purpose: later you can own up to its use as part of radical honesty (radical honesty should be a condition of both spouses).
Once it is established (as with zorweb and I), the dialog option is just an annoyance and can be dispensed with. So, either way, sleath mode serves its purpose.
Godspeed,
STL

Plus.. 007 can email you what is happening on one machine to another machine of your choice. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Verified and confirmed many things with this software...
Standared disclaimer... I told my W that I was going to do it.. just not when.. so she new that she had the possibility of getting caught. When confronted.. she wanted the logs.. gave them to her.. and she deleted them. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] Oh well they served their purpose.. no need to save them I suppose.
------------------
Husband2You
*****
Don't make me promises
Baby you never did know how to keep them well
I've had the rest of you
Now I want the best of you
It's time for show and tell
'All or Nothing' © 2001 O-Town

I've used the one zorweb referred to in monitoring kids use, and it worked well, but haven't needed an email feature.
Anyway, without sophisticated network management tools I think you'll have a hard time installing monitoring software on a PC to which you do not have physical access. However, your H is not working, so the PC he's using is not at his office, right? If you can get at it physically, then the only issue is what OS it's running. If it's a secure OS, like Windows 2000 or Windows NT you may have to install using an account/password that has administrative rights on that machine. Win 95/98 OTOH should be no problem.
However if you use the free trial from iopus you can't disable the warning that the PC is being monitored until you pay for the full version. Be aware of that before you lose the element of surprise.
Steve

I had access to both machines.. work and home.
Be wary of invasion of privacy that you are about to frontier....
Only way to go unnoticed is to purchase the full version or try and 'remember' what the serial number is/was of the copy you installed before your computer crashed, if you know what I mean
... for other things.. to gather your proof.. just to name a few..
micro cassette recorder in the phone box or attic of your house.. Its easy to install another jack in the attic and splice the wires back together.. plug in the recorder and your set.
telephone number catcher.. catches all outgoing and
incoming telephone numbers. To find out what local numbers your WS is calling and when.
micro cassette recorders in the door panels of your car..
a video camara put in the grill of the engine compartment..
a mic from the passenger compartment to the video/audio in jack on the video camera you placed in the engine compartment.. beware of heat.. rain and rocks [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Then you will at least know where the WS is going and what they are doing.
Of course... you may not want to easedrop on the conversation/actions that take place inside the passenger compartment... they can be destructive to your self worth [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
disclaimer.. check with local laws to see what is legal and what is not. If your not going to use it in court.. ask an attorney, about the legality issues if your discovered, FIRST!
Plus your WS... will be LB if they find out... so think ahead.
------------------
Husband2You
*****
Don't make me promises
Baby you never did know how to keep them well
I've had the rest of you
Now I want the best of you
It's time for show and tell
'All or Nothing' © 2001 O-Town

Steve and H2U,
Thank you for your help - glad you warned me about downloading the free trial!!! However, I am kinda computer illiterate, H2U, so what did you mean about the serial #? I'm blonde so have to spell it out. Ha!
Wow!, H2U, sounds like you know a full gamut of gizmos, but I don't think I could do the installation. Are all of these keylogging software products purchased online? can't buy anything in a store? just wondering,
Thanks,
S

RE: “what did you mean about the serial #?”
When you purchase the star007 software over the Internet, will give you a “serial #”. When you install the software they will ask for the serial number. If you do not enter it, the software assumes you have a “free” copy. If you enter the serial number then the software will give you full capabilities.”

------------------
He loves not who does not show love.
----William Shakespeare

Read the first URL before purchasing any of this equipment...
Tape recording telephone communications: http://www.pimall.com/nais/n.recordlaw.html
Telco Tips: http://www.pimall.com/nais/n.20telcotips.html
Call Loggers : (logs all incoming and outgoing telcom numbers dialed or recv) http://www.pimall.com/nais/telmtwo.html
PC Busters : (finds what is on a pc, before the password) http://www.pimall.com/software/ruff.htm
PC Activity Software: (monitors computer activity) http://www.spectorsoft.com/default.asp?refer=125 http://www.internet-monitoring-software.com/
Tape Recorders: http://www.spysupplystore.com/phone.html
Vehicle Trakker: (expensive) http://www.spysupplystore.com/aertrax.html
Cameras: (check out the cellphone and pager cams.) http://www.spysupplystore.com/cameras.html
Other gadgets: http://www.spygadgets.com/ http://www.spyoutlet.com/
Search Engine results: http://search.dogpile.com/texis/search?q=spy+equipment&geo=no&fs=web
Great tip
Know The Number You Are Dialing From
These are known as ANAC numbers which are used by telephone repair people. Here are some national ones certainly reported. 800-444-4444, 888-324-8686, 800-444-3333, 800-727-5207, 800-555-1160.
I don't promote warez.. but a search of a serial for any of this software will return a serial number that you could use. If you don't have the funds.. as many BS don't... then a temporary steal.. is just that.. software priacy, but you'll have your evidence.. AND illegally obtained software...
Use at your own judgement.
------------------
Husband2You
*****
Don't make me promises
Baby you never did know how to keep them well
I've had the rest of you
Now I want the best of you
It's time for show and tell
'All or Nothing' © 2001 O-Town
[This message has been edited by Husband2you (edited August 02, 2001).]

Eyes Wide Open,
You aren't horning in - you are always welcome!! I am glad you asked that question.
H2U,
Wow! Thank you for all the great info! Hate to be a bother, but could you kinda walk me through what to do to "get the free software" downloaded... sorry, I am afraid I will mess it up. Also, do you know how to find unlisted phone #'s? - OW changed hers to unlisted so I don't know what it is now and would not recognize it; would you also know how I could find out where she works - she has changed jobs twice during this whole mess; I would just like to know her # there - discovery of 2nd contact was by placing a call to a number on H's cell that I didn't recognize and it was her new job, but she has left that one, too. I have also tried some search engines to find other email addresses, but nada.
I so appreciate all of your help. And, I also want you to know I just read your post. Please know I am thinking of you; what a rough situation! Does your W want to stay there with OM or is he "keeping" her there? I agree that he is lbing big time...what a control freak! ooohhh! Best wishes, and I will keep posted...
Thanks,
S

Does this software only reveal emails that have been sent? What about Word documents that were typed on the computer? Is there any way to discover what has been sent over Instant Messaging? or to find out who a certain nickname is?
Thanks, Heck

It also will take periodic snapshots of whatever is displayed on the screen, at configurable intervals.
Sobelle,
I don't have time to navigate to the site right now, but if you navigate the iOpus site and pick the product you want, there should be a link to download the product. The way these things usually work, you click the link and a dialog box will appear, giving you the option of where to download the file to. I like to put each download into a separate directory. Usually the file will be self-extracting and you can just double click it, then you'll either have to double click on an install program or it may start right away.
Probably they'll have directions at the iOpus site. Don't worry, it should be easy to do. Again, I'd purchase the product and get the activation code before installing if you want this to be secret.
If this is still confusing, you're welcome to email me. My apologies, but I think I've lost your email, so you'll have to initiate the discussion if you want to.
Gotta go, hope this helps some.
Steve
