does anyone have any book recomendations that DON'T involve figuring out why your marriage is in trouble. I mean I sit here with a stack of a dozen books on my table and I plan to read everyone(maybe twice) but all of them are about who needs what, surviving this or that, relationship problems, tough love, etc...
If Plan A is about me becoming a better person, where are the books to help beyond the marriage problems? I got a book at the library today called "Concrete Confidence" by Sam Horn. Shouldn't we in part be reading books like this to help with some of OUR(U&ME) problems and not focus so much on OUR(H&W) problems?
If so what are some recommendations? I have a great library just 2 blocks away and unfortunately too much time to kill.

SnL,
Sorry to interupt your post, but I have read some of your other posts and I'm thinking maybe you could give me some insight on my WH. I'm in Plan A right now, but he is saying he's confused and will not give up the OW.
Please check out my thread if you have time and tell me what your opinion is.
http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/Forum37/HTML/011301.html
Thanks so much!
Dumplin

Of course you should read "non-marriage" stuff to work on yourself! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif) I like to browse around in the self-help and inspiration (christian) sections at the bookstore and look for stuff that jump out at me. Depends on what your needs and interests are. (I can't remember from your story if you'd be interested in christian stuff or not...) I'll tell you a bunch of authors I like:
Christian: Robert Schuller (Self-Love, Tuugh Times Never Last, etc.), Og Mandino ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif) (Greatest Miracle in the World, Twelfth Angel, etc.), Gary Smalley, Dr. Dobson
Secular: (success, confidence and attitude) Norman Vincent Peale, Les Brown, Dale Carnegie, Napolean Hill
Books: Prayer of Jabez, Secrets of the Vine, Power of a Praying Husband, Who Moved My Cheese, How to See Yourself as GOd Sees you (Josh McDowell)
Just a few off the top of my head.

What do you like? SnL is reading some gross FBI homicide book thing, but if you're into it, he posted the name on my thread yesterday.
I like Mary Higgins Clark and Steven King myself, anything will do. Mary Higgins Clark is an exceptional author, I recommand all her mystery books, I have yet to find one I didn't like...
