I know there is a similar post from another poster here but I couldn't find it.
My kids spent last night with their father and when they got back this morning, he said they had a great time. He said it was the best weekend he had had in a long time. He failed to mention that OW cooked supper for the kids, went fishing and swimming with them and that her 5 yr old D slept with my kids in the same bed.
I am so furious. I wanted them to spend time with him but how can I prevent him from including her in their plans. I am in SC. Does anyone have any ideas how I can prohibit contact between my kids and OW?
I'm pratically ready to skip plan B and go directly to filing for divorce.
Lynn

peoplepleaser
I don't know if this will help you but I remember reading a story about a couple that were involved in an extramarital A who both had children. The couple started off thinking their OP's children were wonderful and so sweet. Well it wasn't long until the children were fighting and the couple couldn't stand each other's kids. I somehow think that if kids are included in their romance, things will go sour alot faster. My WH is living with OW who has 1 teenage son. I know that my H thought he was a great kid when he first moved in. I don't know if that is still the case but I bet he's a little more annoyed with him than he used to be. I know that if she had little kids he would probably have left her by now.
Just my opinion
Connie

Others have gotten restraining orders to keep OP away from their kids (in other states, though). I know in SC that you need a 1 yr separation before D (a neighbor did this a few year ago). A separation agreement might have stuff like that in it.
From dealings we've had with DFS in a foster care situation the mother had enormous power over who her children were able to be around while in the foster home. The mother could have prevented us (her Aunt/Uncle) from seeing her kids (our great neice/nephew).
Jeffers
When I first started reading this, I thought that perhaps you were already on the way to divorce. Then I read further, you are still on Plan A, and he's introducing the kids to his "lover" (ick). Bad taste, tacky, and just plain stupid.
Call a lawyer (or legal aid) if you don't get an answer here about your state. I wouldn't stand for that, not in a million years.

The relationship between my kids and at least two of the OW's kids soured very quickly. The result - my H told our kids that they were not welcome overnight there because they "disturbed the atmosphere." He now sees them 12 hours a month, at most. He made it very clear that what they needed was of no importance.
Hey guys,
Thanks for the response so far. I am still fuming over this and I'm not sure whether to try to talk to him about his thinking or not. It seems to me that he must want to piss me off enough for me to file. He knows how I feel about the kids being around his GF. Is he not capable of taking care of them without her help? Cannot he not just tell her little brat to leave them alone?
I really don't want to get divorced and I had seen some positive signs that my H enjoyed spending time with me and our kids. However, I guess he thinks now he can have fun spending time with OW and our kids.
I don't want to do anything that hurts our chances for reconciliation but at this point, he is doing nothing about working on the marriage anyway. He acts like he doesn't want to hurt me and that he cares about me but then he does these stupid and thoughtless things, like having her cook for our kids and letting her D sleep with our kids. I just don't get it.
I didn't want to get the kids in the middle of this situation. I was hoping we could work things out but he isn't trying. I feel more used and abused everyday.
Just when I was feeling better about getting on with my life, bam! he decides to spend weekend as a family but with her as mommy not me. This really sucks!
Lynn
