So many posting involve that horible word "cell" phone. How many WS have been able to keep their A's on going due to cell phones ? How many BS have spent agonizing hours looking over cell phone bills ? I could go on & on. We all hate those damned things.

But,
Imagine the families who received the cell phone calls from the highjacked planes...to have heard a last "I love you" how awful it is; it is also the 1 thing that people always say "I wish I could have said goodbye; said I love you."

Yes, the cell phone is, at the same time, a wonderful and horrible invention. I still hate the sight of my H's cell phone, MAJOR trigger for me. But I still want him to have one.

hmmm..... yep... tis everything in life though, right? It's not the object, it's how it is utilized. Integrity, respect, character, honesty, purpose.... all determine how each person uses "things" : money, computers, internet, guns, cell phones, "power", drugs, food, etc.

i have no use for them.........Cell Phone was given to WS by OM. No bills to discover that contact continued. The cell call log was the way I discovered the truth. Snooping I know........and the redail on a conventional phone was very interesting also.

The cell phone isn't the problem, and as much as it would be fun to blame easy access to phones, email, etc....
My H used his cell phone too. And it was a major source of trouble during his affair - BUT - now that we are in recovery, its a major source of trust building.
His phone is no longer left locked up in his car. I have a set of his car keys, and his phone is left turned on, laying around the house whenver he's home. I can answer it if it rings, or check the call log anytime.
2 days ago, we went over the bill together, found a suspicious phone number called many times, and with my H present, I called to find out what it was. It was one of his co-workers - totally "ok". (we lost his phone on vacation and hence all the numbers in the memory bank to check it against)
He was proud of himself that the phone bill was "clean" and he was beaming when I kissed him and told him how many love units he was depositing [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Its the spouse thats the problem, not the phone! EVIL...I resisted getting H a cell phone for years...Four short months after he gets one.....
Well, you know the rest of the story...
BTW...he also used to say that "Technology (computers and the Internet) were the road to H_ll." Upon discovery of the cell bill and email accounts, I said..."Well, I guess we know now how right you were...how's H_ll?"

Cali
------------------
Live Impeccably In Your Word.
Don't Take Anything Personally.
Make No Assumptions.
Do Your Best Always.

BrambleRose,
i have to agree with you on that it is the person that is the problem. if a WS wants to contact OP the will the means, what ever they may be.
