You just made me laugh so hard....
You are right on track...some refer to it as alien abduction...some moose brainworms...
It's a state of confusion, though WS's THINK they are thinking clearly...of course so do alcoholics and other addicted people...
We ALL rationalize our behavior to some extent...as no one wants to believe they are wrong or have done wrong...
Cali
------------------
Live Impeccably In Your Word.
Don't Take Anything Personally.
Make No Assumptions.
Do Your Best Always.
<<<It's a state of confusion, though WS's THINK they are thinking clearly...of course so do alcoholics and other addicted people...>>>>
My H and my best friend (who was a WS) both believed durign their As that they were completely rational anf thinking clearly. I remember my H screaming "I am NOT depressed. I just don't want to be married!" 3 months later it was "Can you make a Dr. appt. for me? I've realized I've had depression for 6 months." Later my H and friend both said "It was like I was in a fog." Also from my friend to me "Why didn't you shake me and slap me and tell me what an idiot I was and that the things I was saying didn't make sense and werent' even true half the time!?!" Easy answer. Because she wouldn't have believed me. But she believed her own half truths that she made up to justify things. I think in my H's case FOG stood for "Freaked Out Guy"
