Haven't been here in a while. Been in "B" for 1 1/2 months. I must admit my "B" has turned into moving on. I feel great! For all the pain here, know this; life does go on, whether you like it or not. When you think you're ready to let go, start. It's tough at first, but it will pay off.
Now, had a school open house last night. W showed up wearing her frickin wedding ring! I would have about come to tears 3 months ago and thought we could get back together. Now, I just find it curious. I have had the attentions of several women. No relationships, so to speak, but have come to realize that though my W and I shared many happy moments, the relatioinship/friendship part sucked. I am beginning to think that she had the right idea ending our marriage, I wouldn't have done it like she did, but maybe she had a point. Trust me, I never rule anything out, but it doesn't seem real reasonable to make things happen. I have let go and I'll let things happen. What I began to understand is that, with everything aside, my W isn't the type of woman I would go for.
Eric32

hi eric!!!
So great to hear you are doing well, feeling positive and looking forward to each day. You have no idea how happy it makes me feel to read your post!! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
I would not even venture a guess as to why w is wearing the ring, and would not rec that you spend much time on it either. Eventually something may be said...otherwise it is just one of those oddities of life?
Interesting that you said your w is not the type you would 'go for'. Is love that blind or are we so much the wiser? We know ourselves better?
Hope the kids are adjusting!
(sorry about the typos first time around!)
[This message has been edited by cl (edited September 10, 1999).]

Eric: Funny you should mention the wedding ring. My H never wore his ring the entire time we were married. It was a job related safety thing. It still rubbed me the wrong way, when he wouldn't wear it on the weekends. Whenever I asked him about it, he told me that he didn't have to wear a ring, to be married. I totally disagreed, as when we took our wedding vows, it started with this ring, I thee wed, and then made all of the promises of being faithful, etc. That is what my wedding ring sympolized to me. I can probably tell you to the day when my H started his affair, as that was the day he put his wedding ring on. Gor figure! Maybe it was some perverted symbol of their faithfulness to one another? After the affair was over, the first order of business for me, was to get rid of THAT wedding ring, and get him a new one, which I did for Christmas/98. I also had it inscribed "forever and a day." Kind of sappy, I know, but getting rid of that ring signified to me that the affair was REALLY over, and our marriage would be a new beginning. Has your wife got a notion of getting back together with you? Maybe she was waiting for you to question the ring she was wearing? Who knows how their minds work? One can only guess!!
Success Story (why me)
------------------

SUCCESS STORY
