Hi Faith,
Thanks for checking up on us. We have been busy getting ready for a road trip to Alabama, got the bat belt and all packed and we should be on our way....ok just kidding.
We have been doing good the last couple of days....since we last talked. We went out tonight, and played putt-putt, and there was a little go-cart race track, it was a blast. No seriouse conversations or anything, just a great night together. This being the first night out that we didn't argue or talk about anything seriouse, since d-day.
Also I think we fixed that issue we discussed the other day with the attention after SF thanks for your help.
Gosh we wont have anything to discuss at counseling if we keep getting along like this, hehe.

SEM and KS...
Great news. I'm a firm believer in the concept of taking relationship vacations 2-3 times a week and just having fun together..let's both of you relax..it's worked wonders for SO and I. My workoholic would rather shoot himself in the foot then miss our weekly golf game, not to mention some of the other activities we've been doing. Take the recreational survey and try some new stuff together..we've been having a ball..we've become friends again...we laugh!
T

Twyla,
Thanks, I'm glad to hear your doing good as well. I knew you played golf together...do you do anything else like movies or bowling or anything??? Were still looking for ideas. It's been a long time since we actually went out on dates together, that all stopped when we had kids.
Hey and also I didn't know they had a recreational servey, I'll look for it....maybe someone can tell me where to find it????
Thanks
Faith,
The check is in the mail. Thanks for the thread, I know we should post when things are going well, and not just the bad...
Thanks for the thread....big warm and fuzzy

SEM, I'm glad you two are doing well! Thanks for the update.
As for date ideas... we could all use them, especially those of us with kids who have to pay for sitters on top of other expenses. I suggested a Folk Dance night (free lessons, live music, byo refreshments) at the community center. The other night we just walked around the neighborhood for an hour, huddled in doorways and made out like kids (hee-hee).
There's the Movies; walks on the beach; walks in the park; going to the gym together and ignoring everyone else; Poetry Slams anywhere, anytime; Open mic nights at the local pub; lunch dates on work days...
Okay, that's a start. Any others?

Thanks Snow,
Maybe I should start a thread for date Ideas. It is hard to come up with stuff when you have been out of the going out stuff for 5 years or more. Probably some of the reason for her As...we had our son only 9 to 10 months prior to her first A and that is when we stopped going out and doing fun stuff together.
Thanks again Snow.
Any other suggestions from anyone???
