Looking at You
Tears streaming down my face
What do you see?
Looking at You
Anger burning through my eyes
What do you see?
Looking at You
Love shining in my smile
What do you see?
Looking at You
Misunderstanding furrowing my brow
What do you see?
Looking at You
Wondering
What do you see?
Do you really see me?
Really?

You're going through a transformation.....get all the pain out.....
This is a good thing. Release it here, instead of toward your H. Good. I, too, have gotten to the place that I really feel I have nothing more to say to him till he's ready to commit to recovery. The hurt, the pain... It's all been said. Why beat a dead horse...he doesn't want to hear it right now. Still dealing with his OWN issues.
You are such a strong person, I am praying for you and H. Blessings to you.
Lupo

Thats beautiful TA. Glad to hear you are still posting your writings. I really liked some of the other poems you and <H> (knewjie's husband) used to share.
Thanks for your well-wishes on my other thread.

I remember your poetry fests with Aeon Blue, too. They were pretty amazing.
I discovered poetry after d-day. If I need to cry, all I have to do is read "Evangeline" by W.Whitman.
OM was a poet as well, stuff about soul mates and unrequited love. Made me pay attention to poetry. I can't write it though. It seems to require sustained intense emotions, once I'd get one stanza (bad) down, the emotions that created it would start to dissipate and I'd have trouble proceeding. I sometimes suspected OM was using W to stoke his creative passion, so to speak.
Jeffers

Jeffers,
I have a question that might seem strange to you. But did the OM live in Maryland or New Mexico?
Z

Z,
He lived in Texas at the time. Since then he's moved back to Lousiana. I know this because W still chats with his best friend, though not with him.
It may sound strange (this was the person I labelled OM2), but this other relationship meets all my criteria for "just friends": no secrecy, no personal info, etc. It is qualitatively different than her relationship with OM1. So far, I feel no twinges of angst about it.
Jeffers
