Unfamiliar number in the redial...lump in my throat...stomach starts hurting...I hesitate only moments...then pressed talk...
Sigh of relief when a male friend of his (ours) answers...
He tells me good things from a recent visit with H...things that sound like my H could be thinking...things that sound like all my changes are being noticed and he is starting to 'get' that his making changes would be a good thing too...
I told this friend just to be there for my H...he didn't have to, nor did I want him to 'preach' to my H or even go to bat for me...just listen and be a friend to my H...
It was a nice talk and I feel less anxious than I have in quite a while...
Peace to you all...
(C A L I)

Hi,
When I saw your thread I got a knot in my stomach. You see tonight there have been 3 phone calls. All don't answer when I pick up. The 2nd one hung on a long time and then hung up. I started feeling queezy. Didn't help that I had 2 glasses of wine before dinner. But I did not imagine those calls.
Can't really say it is ow but ya neva know!!!!
L.

TA,
I'm glad to hear that you may be chipping away at his walls. Keep it up and keep the faith.
O,
A little tidbit on telemarketing technology; maybe this'll ease your uneasiness a little. Nowadays, with the use of computers in telemarketing firms, they have the system ring several numbers at once. When the first person answers, the system ignores any further pickups. I'm not sure if they actually disconnect (I suspect that they don't, they just let it ring but kill the connection when it's made). There are also many occasions in which the system seems to fail making the connection and drops the call (even if you happen to be the first to pick up).
I know it's maddening when this happens, ESPECIALLY when you're going through what we all are. But rest assured, I've been getting these calls for months (at least 1-2 per night, more during the day if I happen to be home), and WS doesn't even live at home and OM knows this (probably because she sleeps w/ him nearly every night).
Hope this helps a little.
k

Redial is one of my triggers since when I first suspected that something was up with H (right after the A started) somethign told me to press redial. I did and a female voice answered, I asked for the former office temp (the one he always "felt so sorry for") and lo and behold.... it was her. Vehemently denied anything going on of course, claimed to have not talked to him since she left (got fired actually) his workplace. Liar liar pants on fire lol.
