I would like some suggestions on how to get in 15 hours a week of time together. It seems that work and kids always have us going in different directions. Plus, we share very few common interests, so there doesn't seem to be much to make (or at least encourage) H to want to spend time with me. And I am beginning to run out of "want to" myself. whytry:
I asked this very same question in a previous post. I understand 15 hours per week is minimum if you are already in a good place in your M. 30-35 hours per week is recommended if M in trouble!!! We have 2 boys, 3 1/2 & 2, so it's been very difficult. We try to get them to bed early enough so we can have some time together. It's almost impossible to confide, much less even talk for extended time while they are awake. I'm hoping my W will be in a place soon where she will agree to start taking some weekend trips together.

Is there any way for you to ride to work together? We do this sometimes, even tho he has to be there at 5:30 AM! and I don't until 8. But we get an extra hour those days.
We also make sure we have some Fridays just us. No kid, no tv...just us. Easier said than done, I know. Maybe gramma will take the babes for an evening.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think we're going to have to "just do it."
