At this point in time my WH is planning on leaving in Jan. He is very confused, see my post Need Advise, Support...Sanity.
So what I am wondering now is if I should ask him to have at least 2 MC sessions before he goes. Tell him he can still make plans to leave, but will he do the MC sessions. We have both been seeing the same IC, and we could go to him for MC.
Any input would help, I'm running on empty here, and about as scared as I can be.
Thanks all,
Neeeding

Yes, see if your H will agree to see MC. My W at first said she would go for MC only one time and that this would be to show me she really wanted out and had no love for me. Now we go every other week, and while things are sill up in the air, she is slowly starting to feel better about me and the possibility that things could still work out.
I agree, tell him he can still plan to move out in January if that's what he wants, you will not try to stop him, but that you would like it if both of you would go together to see MC. I think what could happen is that MC can point out some reasons to try to save marriage that WS would not be willing to hear from BS. After that, he may be more willing to see MC on a periodic basis.
Bottom line, if you trust your C, both of you seeing MC together can only help.

RJB2,
Thanks for the advise. I think you are right, and hey what's the worst that can happen. He says no and moves out. Well, he is planning on moving out anyway.
We have both been in IC with the same guy. H does trust him so I think that may help push him a little towards doing it.
The hard part is the timing in bringing it up. He has to be in a good enough mood.
Thanks again

Hi Needing. Absolutely ask WH if he will agree to go. AT this point you have nothing to lose. January is still a few weeks away.
My H and I went to counseling in the very beginning of our separation and then he bailed on going. I continued to go alone H said counseling couldn't help us and no one could make him go. Now he is back at home and we are seeing MC together.
If your H still decides to leave in January let him go as difficult as it will be he needs to work through this. We will all be here to support you. Just keep plan Aing him. Remember plan A is about you. Be the best you can be. Good luck my prayers are with you.

Thanks cybil,
That is pretty much what I think I am going to do. It can't hurt to ask. He has'nt asked for a divorce yet, so I might as well give it a shot.
Needing
