There is a guy in my office who had been married about 6 mos. (He is WS who married OW.) Shortly after returning from him honeymood he began an EMA with a co-worker. The co-worker is also married.
As I have said before, my office is like Patyon Place and people usually don't think too much about it. The women here have found this EMA espically disgusting because he JUST got married in June. Some of the secretaries want to tell his new W.
I am friendly with the head Assistant and have conviced some of them to hold off until I ask "a good source I have."
I told them that I think that they should confront this guy and co-worker before going straight to the W.
As spouses - YOUR OPINIONS PLEASE! I don't have any say in what is eventually decide, but in the past I have been able to provide a voice of reason.

Place the SAA book on HIS desk anonymously. He should then get the hint that his office A has visibility and is viewed negatively by his peers.
Jo

Thanks, Katie.
If he then continues the A, I'd explore the idea of flagging his W and exposing him, but always anonymously.
Gosh, a real live case of "what goes around, comes around".
Jo

One more idea ... before resorting to telling his W, you could also try placing the SAA book on the office-OW's desk as well.
Jo

This particular woman (the co-wroker) is one sad soul. She is in a bad marriage, has 2 small children, and strikes me as generally depressed. At office parties she is know to get drunk and fall all over all of the men.
PLUS, she's NEW! Not a good career move for her!
Last night at our office party this guy was ALL over her. They spent the entire night at the bar 2 inches from each other's face. Then his wife showed up and the OW slinked off into the corner.
Everyone watched the whole ordeal unfold like it was the movie of the week. It's just sad.
I think it's espically sad that his W is clueless. Everyone likes her, but pitys her. Most people don't know that she's the xOW. (I found out by accident.)
One of the more family oriented guys apparently pulled him aside and said somthing to him. (I just found this out now). And his response was "i'm latin."
O-K

What's that supposed to mean "I'm Latin"?
I'm Latin, so it's expected? I'm Latin, so I'm a sleaze? I'm Latin, so I think with my d*ck?
He has it wrong, his nationality is "Adulterer". What a prize.. jeeeeez!
Jo
[ December 13, 2001: Message edited by: Resilient ]

This stereotype is something my WW mentioned about OM (Latin). She said that in spending so much time with "Latin" men doing her job that, over time, she got comfortable with 'this' part of the Latin culture. I couldn't believe she said this. I suppose it is all part of the fogese. I assumed that she had more character than this anyway so maybe this comment shouldn't surprise me.
HoFS

I guess the other thing that's so digusting is: If his wife were "latin" and understood this whole cultural idea then that would be one thing. But his wife is NOT latin. I don't want to racially stereotype, but she could not be less latin. She's know to be a very "family values" kind of woman. Then again her family values can't be THAT deep. She was after all TOW.
I work in a department of 44 people. There are 22 different countries represented in this dept. He is the first one to "play the race card."
MUY ESTUPIDO!

This guy's makin me mad, and I don't even know the jerk.
Okay, Katie. I say when you place the SAA book on his desk, to place a Post It on top of the book with his wife's Initials written on it. THAT should make him wonder.
Jo

On the MM's book I'd put a note "Maybe you should tell your W, before someone else does."

Karmic justice is being served. She is simply reaping what she sowed and soon she'll get to see how much fun the other side of the coin isn't. When I do see 2 former affair partners get married it just seems like meaningless hypocrisy and usually doesn't last long anyway.

ooooohhhh
I like, I like!!!!
It's kind of sick because all 3 women (xW, W, OW) are all JUST alike. They are these delicate, "he's my hero" kind of women. They rely on him for EVERYTHING! All 3 built their entire world around him. He's tall good looking and latin.
The other latin women in the office say that he chooses non-latin women to avoid the Lorena Bobbit treatment.

Okay, okay ....
I say at the least, someone should wite a note to his first W (anon of course) and let her know about his on-going infidelity with W #2. She already has a clue, I'm sure .... but I know "I, as a BS" would love to hear such news. Helps with the healing.
Jo

Other than being a pig in general the guy is ok. The problem is that the OW is WELL hated.
I know for a fact that she pissed off another co-worker this summer and that co-worker tried to call her husband and give him the heads up. Couldn't get through to him though. He's a big construction worker type.
I told you I work in Payton Place!
Contacting the 1st wife? Hmmm? WEll for what it's worth, she made out like a bandit. They had triplets, so she now has a higher yearly income than he does. The OW, now W is a rich girl. He had to borrow money from her to put the BS and children up in a nice apartment, keep the girls in school, clothes, etc.
The xW is now raking in over $100K/ year in spousal support, child support, nanny fees, and contributions for college. What's more, she's free to find a partner that deserves her instead of that scum bag!
